Over 50 Republican foreign policy, nat'l security experts refuse to vote for Trump
In a stunning development, more than 50 Republican foreign policy and national security experts -- including many who worked for former President George W. Bush -- signed a letter denouncing Trump and refusing to vote for him.
"We are convinced that in the Oval Office, he would be the most reckless President in American history," the former officials, who included former CIA chief Michael Hayden, former Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte and Eric Edelman, former Vice President Dick Cheney's national security adviser.
The letter, first reported by The New York Times, emerged days after President Barack Obama, in an unprecedented move for a sitting commander in chief, warned that Trump lacked the intellect and temperament to succeed him.

Funny how our British right wingers think Trump would be so great for America, yet increasing numbers of American right wingers strongly disagree

Seems our typical RWers are more like your RW extremists and have about the same level of brain cells.

Trump strikes back by accusing the particular members signing this letter of being the architects of the disastrous position we are in today, particularly in the Middle East. For once, I believe he may be right.
Nevertheless, given the accusation, that may not be consequential. These national security advisors accuse Trump of simply not having the skills to oversee a nuclear arsenal or such a powerful military. That is an issue of raw ineffectualness, not one of incorrect choices.

And don't forget how many Republicans think these signees made all the right decisions

Could this backfire and make floating voters decide to vote for him though? Sometimes these things create a kind of mass reverse psychology.
