Fact check disproves Palestinian swimmer's claims against Israel

The Palestinian Authority has sent swimmers to the Olympics since 2000. They gained eligibility to participate in 1996.

Claims of immense training difficulties for Palestinian Olympic-hopeful Mary al-Atrash have been well-reported as of late.
In a June report, Reuters claimed that the 22-year-old swimmer from Beit Sahour, near Bethlehem in the West Bank was without an adequate pool in which to train.

However, it turns out she had several places near her hometown where she could have trained. For example, Murad tourist resort near Bethlehem boasts of not one, but four Olympic sized pools. “The resort houses four Olympic-sized swimming pools equipped with four water slides designed by professional engineers, as well as a special 80 by 30 meter pool for sliding," Murad’s website states.
Furthermore, she could have had the opportunity to train in Jerusalem but failed to apply for a permit, as other Palestinian athletes have refused to do in the past, according to the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories.

This is the sad reality today, that Israel faces constantly. That of those leftist media outlets jump at such stories that seek to dehumanize Jews. That they fail to fact check a story. As being hateful against Israel and even worse Jews itself, is becoming acceptable, as was the case for Jews during the 1930's in Europe. You only need to look at the same Olympics to find evidence of this racism or xenophobia and how these constant falsified claims are fueling hate of Israelii's and Jews world over.

Lebanese Olympic team scolded by IOC for refusing to let Israelis on bus

The International Olympic Committee said that they would not accept any further incidents of this sort.

The head of the Lebanese Olympic delegation was reprimanded by the International Olympic Committee on Sunday after refusing to let the Israeli delegation board a bus the two teams were supposed to share.

As a result, according to the original Facebook post by Israeli sailing coach Udi Gal, event organizers tried to scatter the Israeli athletes on several different buses. He called this “unacceptable for security and representative reasons.”

During the hearing on the matter, the IOC committee warned Salim al-Haj Nakoula the head of the Lebanese delegation, that they would not accept any further instances like this.
