Stay alert for any suspicious looking people - report anything!
LUTON, BEDS A terrorist who plotted to attack on a Territorial Army centre with an exploding toy car was jailed for an extra four months today (Weds) for failing to hand over his computer password. Syed Hussain, 22, was part of a Luton-based cell which discussed attacking MI5, the US Air Force, the English Defence League and their local shopping centre. One of their ideas was to pack a remote controlled car with explosives and drive in into an army base. Hussain was jailed for five years and three months at Woolwich Crown Court last April. - See more at: http://www.courtnewsuk.co.uk/newsgallery/?page=2#sthash.SdxJag1s.dpuf

Re: The Battle Of Britain Continues
Another one arrested, this is after the two women arrested yesterday:
A Birmingham man has been arrested at Gatwick airport on suspicion of attending a terrorist training camp in Syria.
The 21-year-old from the Sheldon area of the city had returned to the UK on a flight from Istanbul.
West Midlands Police said in a statement that the arrest was not connected with two men who were held at Heathrow airport on Monday on suspicion of Syria-linked terror offences.
The pair, Yusuf Sawar and Mohammed Ahmed, both 21, from Handsworth, Birmingham, have been charged with planning and travelling to Syria for terrorism.
In a statement earlier this week, the West Midlands force urged anyone thinking of travelling to Syria to heed warnings issued by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

Another terror arrest today.
Please remember everybody - you know what you're looking out for - report it!
A 21-year-old man has been arrested at Stansted Airport on suspicion of terrorism offences.
Scotland Yard said he was suspected of being involved in the commission, preparation and instigation of terrorism.
Counter Terrorism Command officers detained the man on his return to the UK from Istanbul, Turkey, via Stuttgart in Germany, the Met said.
He was stopped on Sunday evening and arrested four-and-a-half hours later.
Police said the man remained in custody at a London police station where he had been taken following the arrest.
"This arrest was not in response to any immediate threat or risk," the Met said in a statement.
"Detectives have carried out searches of three addresses in connection with this investigation.
"Inquiries are ongoing and we are not able to give further detail at present."
A spokesman was unable to confirm whether the arrested man was suspected of travelling to Syria.

A woman accused of trying to smuggle £16,500 in her knickers to terrorists in Syria appeared in court today (thurs). Naval Masaad, 26, and Amal El-Wahabi, 27, allegedly tried to take 20,000 Euros on a flight to Istanbul, Turkey. Masaad was arrested at Heathrow airport and found to have the cash wrapped in cling film stashed in her underwear. The two women wept and hugged each other in the dock when they appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court. - See more at: http://www.courtnewsuk.co.uk/newsgallery/#sthash.nOGP5qyT.dpuf

That's quite funny seeing as the Government are giving arms to the 'good' terrorists. No wonder she wants to help those fighting against Assad, as the pictures Ben put on of the 11,000 he'd had tortured and murdered would be enough to make anyone want to do something to stop it, especially if you had relatives there.

The girls were smuggling the money to "help British jihadists" - don't think they got it by saving their pocket money Sassy! Pawns used by men with a deadly agenda. Okay Assad's a horror and should be put down; but you don't help a situation by helping other terrorists. I agree with your mention of government supporting some terrorists - that's wrong too, but typical of politicians.Sassy wrote:That's quite funny seeing as the Government are giving arms to the 'good' terrorists. Don't know what the answer is in the ME to be honest. Look at countries where the West has removed dictators - hardly bastions of peace now are they? The dictator's just replaced with another brutal regime, or years of bloody civil war. It's all down to tribal differences. Has been for centuries.

But the world agrees, even Kerry said so in Geneva a couple of days ago, that those insurgents fighting against Assad are not terrorists (not the Al Qeda mob). They are simply trying to get rid of a dictator who is terrorising and brutalising his own people. They are called 'british jihadists' because that is the language used by papers.
I don't know if you looked at the link Ben put up, the pictures literally would make you sick, neither of us could look past the first one.

If Kerry and the US really believed they could get rid of Assad and replace him with something better they'd have got more involved. Quite frankly the West has had enough of fighting the Arab Spring. Waste of soldiers' lives - and pointless. Can you honestly say Egypt, Iraq, Libya etc are better countries since their dictators were removed?Sassy wrote:But the world agrees, even Kerry said so in Geneva a couple of days ago, that those insurgents fighting against Assad are not terrorists (not the Al Qeda mob). They are involved, but have finally realised its better to do it diplomatically. So are we, William Hague is the only member of the government who is doing a good job and he and Kerry are doing sterling work in Geneva:
MONTREUX, Switzerland—Syria and the U.S. opened a long-awaited peace conference by clashing over the fate of President Bashar al-Assad, exposing the depths of division and pessimism about any progress at the first talks in nearly three years of war.
The early sparring in Switzerland on Wednesday centered on Western demands that President Bashar al-Assad be removed from power. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry kicked it off by insisting Mr. Assad must go.

The others you need to discuss in the appropriate threads in the middle east section I think as we have many on about Egypt. Would to discuss Iraq, which we and America destroyed, which probably led to what is going on in Syria, because Saddam kept Assad in check and we destabalised the whole area, so why not start a thread in the Middle East section?

True, this thread's deviated a bit because of the British women jihadists. I don't know enough about the middle east to give a proper informed opinion tbh. The Spanish Civil War though wasn't run on terrorism was it? Well I suppose that's as good a case as any for leaving the Taliban to rule the roost in Afghanistan and stay as a breeding ground for terrorists and a launchpad for attacks on the West.
Egypt certainly isn't a better country now. Indeed it is a lot worse than it was before the Arab Spring as it has been returned back to the Mubarak style military rule that the people tried so hard to get rid off.
Libya was more stable after Blair's deal in the desert but that all went wrong when he refused to listen to opposition groups who wanted to talk and he decided that there would be no talking. You're right, Libya looks like it's on a path to possibly something just as bad.
Iraq if left alone probably would have tried to develop weaponry that threatened the entire region. They invaded Kuwait and they have a history of using chemical weapons and if left alone they probably wouldn't have stopped there. There has been no progress in Iraq and it's just as bad as it was before. The war achieved nothing and the sanctions only made things worse. That one should have been left to his neighbours to sort out with all the military equipment that we sell to them..
Syria wasn't really a threat to us or the US but there is nothing wrong with supplying the right opposition groups with humanitarian aid and no-lethal equipment that they can use to defend themselves. At least they are talking but these look destined to fail because Assad is determined to stay put.
You're not wrong in what you say but there are occasions when it is right to do something.

And do you really believe that our involvement in Afghanistan has removed the Taliban threat? Won't take them long to re-establish themselves, so all those soldiers' lives lost was for what? Yes we should do the right thing, but sometimes the right thing just isn't possible to do. Sad fact of life.

The threat hasn't been removed but they are no longer free to allow the terrorist training camps to carry on or provide a safe refuge for people like Bin Laden. Maybe you were prepared for a jet airliner to slam into the Gherkin Building in London or even the Houses of Parliament but others were not.

Re: The Battle Of Britain Continues
12th February 2014
Counter-terrorism teams are searching a property amid claims that a Briton staged a suicide bomb attack on a prison in Syria.
Officers are examining a house in Langley Green, Crawley, West Sussex, after reports that a UK jihadi, understood to be Abdul Waheed Majid, 41, from Crawley, carried out the deadly bombing.
Using the name Abu Suleiman al-Britani, he is said to have driven a lorry into a jail in Aleppo and detonated a bomb last week.
Counter-terrorism teams in the UK have grown increasingly concerned about the trend of young Britons travelling to Syria to train to fight with jihadi groups, and the potential that they could return and stage attacks on UK soil.

the eu has turned Britain in to a tipping ground for the scum of the earth and the idiots in charge have let them.

A Metropolitan Police officer has been giving evidence on the opening day of a British man's trial in Kenya over claims he plotted attacks.
Jermain Grant, suspected of ties to al Qaeda-linked group al Shabaab, was allegedly arrested with chemicals, batteries and switches in December 2011 in the city of Mombasa.
Prosecutors say the alleged Islamic militant planned to use them to produce explosives.
Grant had a memory stick in his possession containing documents about making explosives, said Detective Inspector Stephen Ball.
Mr Ball, who has been helping Kenyan police investigate the case, told a court that Jihadist documents and other materials "clearly dedicated to the making of explosives and weaponry" were found on the stick.
The detective said documents contained information on chemicals that could be used to make explosives, and ways of making booby-traps to target government officials, police or bomb disposal teams.

Two more terror stories from todays news.
Remember - report anything suspicious, it could save lives:
A man charged under counter-terrorism laws in connection with the alleged fraudulent use of a passport was remanded in custody today. (FRI) Michael Diamantis, 28, is accused of buying an e-ticket to Turkey under a false name for co-defendant Nabeel Hussain. Hussain, 29, was arrested at Stansted Airport after allegedly trying to board his flight using a passport in the name of Resat Safak. Both men were charged by the Counter Terrorism Division of the CPS on February 14. - See more at: http://www.courtnewsuk.co.uk/newsgallery/#sthash.iGpvGSG6.dpuf
A mother-of-two accused of trying to smuggle £16,500 to her suspected terrorist husband in Syria was granted bail at the Old Bailey today (FRI). Amal El-Wahabi, 27, allegedly recruited Naval Masaad, 26, to carry 20,000 Euros in her underwear on a flight to Turkey. The cash, which was wrapped in clingfilm, was discovered when Masaad was searched at Heathrow airport on 16 January. Both women are due to stand trial at the Old Bailey on 7 July this year and will next appear in court to enter their pleas on 19 May. - See more at: http://www.courtnewsuk.co.uk/newsgallery/#sthash.iGpvGSG6.dpuf

That's funny. Strangely enough though you Americans financed the IRA for decades and then came 9/11 and for the first time you had a serious awakening to terror on your door step. We have lived with the IRA for decades and now Islamic fundamentalist. The number of radicalised individuals grows year by year and the left tell us it isn't a problem. We have returning jihadist coming back trained in the art of warfare just how long do you think it will be before our next Tube Bombing or the like.
Thats won't be quite so funny I suggest.

Our forces are fighting hard to keep us safe today in the muslim-held enclave of the West Midlands, thank god!
Three men and a woman from the West Midlands have been arrested on suspicion of Syria-related terrorism offences, police said.
A man from Hall Green, 45, is suspected of attending a terrorist training camp and facilitating terrorism overseas.
Another man, 36, from Shirley, a woman, 44, and her son, 20, both from Sparkhill, are being held on suspicion of facilitating terrorism overseas.
Their three homes are being searched by counter-terrorist police.
Vehicles and electronic equipment had been taken away for forensic analysis, West Midlands Police said.
Det Supt Shaun Edwards said all four arrests were connected.
He said: "They were pre-planned and intelligence-led. There was no immediate risk to public safety."

Yeah, look out for remote control cars. HA HA!
You're such a scaremongering bitch.
Hi Fuzzy, all I'm doing is repeating the government's official stance and it's a sensible one - report anything suspicious.

More muslims doing what muslims do.
Three men and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of Syria-related terror offences.
Two men aged 29 and 18 from Levenshulme in Manchester, a 21-year-old woman from Trafford and a 29-year-old man from Oxford are in custody.
They are being questioned in Manchester on suspicion of being concerned in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.
A number of properties are being searched.
One of the men arrested in Manchester is the brother of Mohammed Azzam Javeed, who is missing in Syria.
The teenager travelled out to Syria in the autumn and has not been heard of since.
Detective Chief Superintendent Tony Mole, head of the the North West Counter-Terrorism Unit (NWCTU), said the arrests were not linked to any imminent threat.
He said the operation had been running since autumn 2013 "since we first became aware of a number of individuals travelling from the North West to the battlefields of Syria".

Yeah, I checked it out while I was waiting -- most accurate figure I can find is 23,509 (including RAF pilots).
So how many British people have died in BigAndy's Big Mooslamic "Battle of Britain"?

Hassan was charged along with Shah Hussain, 31.
After pleading guilty in a hearing at the Old Bailey, the pair will be sentenced on 2 May.
Hassan, of Carr Road, Walthamstow and Hussain, of Cannon Street Road, Whitechapel, were remanded in custody.
While appearing on Newsnight Hassan claimed one of Fusilier Rigby's killers, Michael Adebolajo, had been offered a job by MI5.

It isn't going to get any better, that's for sure.
Thanks very much, Tony, Gordon and Dave.
Radical Sunni Muslims are facing jail for attacking a group of Shi’ites in what is believed to be the first case of Muslim sectarian violence on the streets of Britain.
Violence broke out on London’s Edgware Road, a well-known Shia area, on May 10 last year during a protest organised by radical preacher Anjem Choudary calling for jihad in Syria.
Two men were beaten to the ground with placards and wooden sticks. One was so badly injured he had blood streaming down his face after being kicked in the head as he lay helpless on the floor.
Ginger-haired Jordan Horner, 20, part of the Sunni sect, attacked a man after calling him a 'kaffir', or non-believer.
Other members of the Sunni group including Mohammed Almagir, 34, Mirza Ali, 38, Mohad Uddin, 36, and Kamran Khan, 29, also joined in.
Alex Chalk, prosecuting, told the Old Bailey that the group were shouting 'Shias are kaffirs. They are the enemy within. They are evil' as they carried out the attack.
He said: 'This is a case about sectarian violence in west London.
'On Friday May 10, 2013, these defendants attended an unauthorised anti-Shia march advertised on Twitter.
'The protestors, several of whom were carrying banners bearing inflammatory anti-Shia slogans, passed along Edgware Road - an area well known for its established Shia community.
'They were carrying placards calling for jihad in Syria and were publicising their intention to march to the Syrian Embassy.
'Shortly after the marchers turned around at the Marble Arch end and retraced their steps northwards, violence broke out.
'Two men were assaulted with fists and flagpoles. One was beaten on the ground, and the other, Fahad Fahad, was left with blood streaming from a wound to his head.'

A British jihadist fighting in Syria has signalled that the UK should be afraid of the terror skills he has learnt after posting a photo of apparent homemade bombs.
A Twitter account believed to belong to Nasser Muthana, 20, shows an image of a stack improvised explosive devices in a garage.
Alongside it is the stark warning: "So the UK is afraid I come back with the skills I've gained."
Muthana, from Cardiff, appeared in a recruitment video Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (Isis), last month.
In another apparent Twitter posting, he shows a home-made weapon believed to be taken from an enemy Shia Muslim and adds: “Look what we found on this shi'i, glad tidings we'll make sure his head is detachable."

I don't understand why you think anybody would believe that I'd leave this thread alone for months, yet censor some random report of a shooting in Birmingham, BA. You're not really at top form, huh?
