A LOT of people can still be establishing successful enterprises, or achieving long-term goals, in their 50s and 60s...
HOWEVER, I reckon most of them would be past it or over it by the time they reached their 80s !!!

I don't think age should be a barrier to achievement, it's usually ill health as you age that might prevent this. I remember that lady of 80 odd who cycled round the world.

You said what I was going to say...it's not age it's health that prevents most people achieving.
I don't think age has ever stopped me doing what I want, I just took up Kayaking in my 60's and love it. To me age has more benefits than drawbacks.....plus 60 is the new 40...and you know what they say," Life begins at 40".

Well, this is obviously a very sad and important topic, with lives hanging in the balance any way you look at it.
Kinda reminds me of an old, nearly forgotten saying we have here in Texas: "You ain't never gonna git that done with jest yer lasso and yer dick but you could try if you wanna git cowshit all over yer boots and maybe try yer six-shooter too and ting."
