Dover ferry port chaos leads to 14-hour traffic jams
Motorists have been hit by delays of up to 14 hours through Kent to get to the Port of Dover, with many holidaymakers being stuck in traffic overnight.
Port officials said delays built up due to understaffing of French border posts during heightened security checks.
The port warned of road delays of five to 10 hours, and Kent Police said there could be continued disruption for another 36 to 48 hours.
Police are flying in water for stranded motorists by helicopter.
P&O Ferries said there were estimated waiting times of up to 12 hours via the A20/M20, and up to three hours on the A2/A256, in addition to two hours at the port.
It said "vast volumes of holiday traffic" had compounded the security problems.

That's what it will be like on the day we leave the EU. If you don't think it is then please say why.

If we leave the EU without a deal on free movement then what you are seeing now will be common place. We are not a self-sufficent nation and we need to import and export products and most of our trade is with EU countries.
That's what's gonna happen - both ways

Nonsense!
The problems were either caused by French workers taking strike action as I mentioned earlier... or by the illegal immigrants at calais kicking off again...
Neither of which is getting any media coverage over here so difficult to say which for sure.

N0 Tommy, it's you that talking nonsense. But go on tell me what will happen at Dover if we leave the EU without free movement.
I'll tell you - it will be just like you are seeing now.

It wasn't what you said it was it was security checks at Dover which proves what I have been telling you all along that that is what will happen without free movement and the introduction of Customs formalities at UK ports.
So that's a wrap

I never twisted anything. What stikes? That is how it will be if we are out of the EU with no deal on the single market and free movement.
If you think it won't be like that then please tell me why?

But it was like this while we are in eu, free movement and single market...
And has been like this before while under same eu conditions...
The strikes in France have been going on for a good 2-3:months... I posted a link detailing reasons for strikes...
