Hemingway, Syl. It gets studied in colleges sometimes (though I seem to remember there being something about him stealing a short story about an ad selling baby's pram and simply reducing it to six words?)

I tried Haiku once, it's quite hard and after dabbling with it for a while I decided it was rubbish.
