You probably think fried chicken is a dish from America's southern states, but it turns out the English have been making the dish for a very long time.

The recipe in Dictionarium Domesticum

In this video, John. from Jas. Townsend and Son. makes fried chicken from a recipe in Nathan Bailey's 1736 cookbook, "Dictionarium Domesticum" (pictured above). The tartness of the marinade surprised me. I really look forward to trying this recipe!
