Re: Dyson
Have to say, wouldn't have one if you paid me. Dad has two and they are so heavy and trying to use the tools is a nightmare. I have a Hoover that is especially for pets, 190 watts and gets up every little pet hair from anyway, with tools to get in crevices etc that take 2 secs to attached.

Re: Dyson
I was given a Black & Decker with a Lithium recharger battery pack; it was rated just as good as the Dyson but not as expensive!
And I've had it quite a while now. But it doesn't not have an extension attachment but my other vacuum upright ones work just fine on this one.
This image shows an 20 volt lithium battery ...so that would last lot's longer then my 12 volt; but the price was similar to the one I got as a gift!

Do any of you gurlz have one of these or this type.
Can you tell of your experience with it"
Thank you.
I've always used Dyson. I find them easy to take apart and clean. It's very lightweight too.

No, I have an old Dyson which never seems to break, but I want an upright vacuum now. Not a Dyson though - too expensive.

Mine isn't - you have to get your hands in to get all the stuff out, and it's not that light either. It is reasonably efficient I guess.

I have one of those smaller ball Dysons. I also have a man who puts his hands in to get the fluff out.

Here's a relatively small and portable dust extractor that I like the looks of :

And, for use with big 'chip' producing tools like 'thicknessers or routers, you could add something like this, in-line :
http://www.machineryhouse.com.au/W316
And, then there's a combined system like this, for woodworking only :

Re: Dyson
I have a really old dyson, it's fairly light and unlike the later models doesn't look like you need a degree in science to work it.
At the caravan we have a Henry....I bloody hate it. It's like dragging a petulant child along after you, one that keeps kicking you in the shins.
OH does the hovering at the caravan.

At home I have a little Dyson and an upright Dyson. I love them. I have tried every vacuum going and they are the best by far.
