This firm claims it can spot paedophiles and terrorists by how they look

It sounds like something straight from sci-fi movie Minority Report – but a company claims that it can identify terrorists and paedophiles before they offend by just looking at their face.
Israeli tech-start up Faception says that its technology can spot character traits that are usually undetectable to the naked eye – including those of terrorists, paedophiles, and even poker players.
It was founded in 2014 and has developed a database of 15 classifiers which Gilboa claims are used to determine personality traits with an impressive 80 percent accuracy.
The firm even claims that it is now working with a homeland security agency, such is the accuracy of their technology.
Shai Gilboa, the chief executive of Faception, said: ‘We understand the human much better than other humans understand each other.

It's all a bit bullshit

Do you not sometimes look at someone and form a silent opinion of them or even say it to someone?

I DON'T CONSIDER that a 20% error rate is anything for that company to be bragging about...

THAT would mean a lot of innocent people being unnecessarily harrassed and bullied by various authorities that might be silly or nasty enough as to utilise something that is inherently wrong 20% of the time.

AND THAT company is described as a "start up" -- which would supposedly mean that they're still trying to raise funds --  so that's likely why this puff piece sounds so much like advertising to attract more venture capital ?

Yes I think you can get a "vibe" off someone and mostly you try to ignore it....get to know them and realise you were right after all.
