10th January 2014

Figures from the DWP yesterday.

What the hell? Now capped at £26,000 - that's a good amount of money - it should be capped at national minimum wage - around £12,000. Gradually bring it down - £5,000 per year.

Take a look on a jobs page - hundreds of full time jobs around £12,000 - bank clerks etc.

More than 33,000 households have had their benefits slashed since handouts were capped at £500 a week.

Hundreds of families caught by the cap were pocketing handouts equal to a salary of more than £60,000, the Department for Work and Pensions revealed yesterday.

Some 59 households were claiming at least £900 a week, equivalent to a salary of almost £70,000 before tax.

is this combined benefits?? is it soley those not working or does it include working families getting tax credits, if its combined benefits how much is housing ,( relevent to where they live) that figure as given is useless except as a propaganda tool.

also of the total of benefit claimants, what %age does 33,000 represent???

None of your questions matter, git.

Working families - if it's a working family and they're bringing in £12,000 then that's what they should stay on - £12,000.

Housing, relevant to where they live??? Why should it be relevant to where they live??? I want to live in the leafy place up the road - we looked there when we chose our house, but ended up here because it's cheaper.

What percentage does it represent? Who cares if it's 0.00001 percent. Just like all the other fraud, troughing that's going on, it needs to be addressed.
