No that's the one that is pretty poor
it's down the bottom of the page
I deal with the majority of abuse reports.
Most are Crap, and as i said if it is something that is legally/personally compromising I Action it.
if it is people whinging about each other etc, I Ignore it.
No...the bottom 'GRAY BAR' >>> far right 'Report Abuse' brings up this format to report a post...still there - still works but not as often as preferred.
But TY, Veya...some members need a seeing eye dog to get around this place with a special language interpreter to explain things to them as well.

Which is odd since 60% of the active mods are Brits. The mods are doing a pretty good job. It's just that we have some spoiled children on this site.

Re: Report Button
I posted a couple of links about the normal report button which appears on every post. If admin want to take a look, it's up to them, but maybe even if they got it to work they would be inundated with reports.

Thanks Quill
And Nicko, just for the record, I don't judge a reported post (or any post) by the countryman who made it and neither do any of the mods

Re: Report Button
Just to add my bit, I think the moderation on here is good....it's often hard to be a mod AND a poster...and I think Eddie especially does a good job.
Other mods admin seem to go with the flow...there isn't a lot of censorship that I can see.
No idea about how reported posts are handled because I have never reported any.

Oh dear, that is slightly unfortunate. Veya has taken a screen shot from the admin
Panel to illustrate his post. That screen shot has caught the end of my post to Sassy
So which sad act reported it?! As if we didn't know

Re: Report Button
thats not the "admin panel" mifs
thats what we as admins have on ALL our pages...we have to click on the words admin panel to enter the admin area....
Thats a screen shot of a normal page for us
same as yours...just has that option at the bottom....
the admin panel is somewhat more erm..........mystifying....beleive me.....and doesnt present us with a page like that...oh that it did.....
the mod tools you see are also present on all our pages,,,so we DONT have to delve into the admin panel to mod on a day to day basis....
the clue is "quick mod tools" one reason we can deal with a bad post quickly IF we see it......

also the mods on here are rather more than "plain old mods" we are all "admins" which is why we is all red.....
ordinary common or garden mods dont have the "admin panel" option......but they DO have the "quick mod tools"

BUT that being Said Stormee don't bother. unless it is 'real' personal info or legit problem not so and so called me a nasty name.
Good information, thank you.
I take it I can now RETALIATE with a filthy vile tirade with equal impunity to that which has been directed at myself, is that correct?
I trust you will administer the report system FAIRLY, which includes everyone.
yes as long as you don't use personally identifying info.
And Limit the the use of homophobic, sexist or racist slurs.
but swear words are fine.
If Ben is offended he sets the censorship, Being an Aussie dickhead that swears as part of my normal vernacular you would be hard pressed to offend me by use of swear words

I can't see the end of your post to Sassy. The screenshot was just from a post I made and Veya's reply. He was merely pointing out the "report an abuse" button at the bottom of the forum.
That button is not the one I was referring to anyway. On Forumotion forums there is a report button on each post, but it appears to be disabled on this forum.

Re: Report Button
Stormee...all I can say is, ...If a post offends you...I mean REALLY offends you then you should report it
I look at posts at times (and I'm not on about subject posts that are unacceptable here, but "personal" ones) and think ooohhh...that was nasty...but unless YOU complain I cant really do much beyond perhaps making a comment....unless theres a danger of it turning into a bitchfest...in which case i can use "disruption" as a reason to act.....
I TRY to be fair and not act in an arbitrary manner......you would be surprised how difficult that can be......

Absolutely, said it before. If you post personal info, you don't get to whine if you don't get the reaction you want or it comes back to bite you on the bum
