This is the shocking moment a group of people including parents with children were seen stealing bottles of water from London marathon runners.

if you observe carefull you can see a trail of empty bottles stretching into the distance..

apparantly the local folks are allowed to take whatever is left after the runners have passed....

They didn't waste much time did they? Some of them took loads of it.

I don't think they even bothered to wait until the last runners (or walkers) had gone through before they started taking the water. It would have been polite of them to at least clap as the last ones went through and wait a little while before they loaded as much as they could into trolleys.

I should have checked out your claim before I posted really. This video clearly shows runners still going through whilst the mob are taking as much water as they can.

I've just watched it again, and I'm really annoyed by this blatant display of disrespect and greed.

I haven't ever taken part in a marathon because, quite frankly, I wouldn't be able to do it, but I have the greatest respect for anyone who has - or who has attempted one.

A lot of the people who take part aren't professional sportsmen or runners, they're doing it maybe for charity or for personal reasons. They've trained for months and months, and they're probably knackered at this point. The least they should be able to expect is a bit of respect, and maybe some cheering and clapping to encourage them. What do they see instead? A bunch of rude, greedy people who simply didn't even to bother to look at them as they passed by. They were there just to take the water.

What have that bunch of morons ever done? Sat on their fat arses unless they could go out and take what they could get for nothing. Some even took trolleys out with them so they could get as much as possible!

I think that's utterly disgusting, and I hope they're named and shamed, even if they can't be arrested. Why nobody told them to fuck off is a mystery.

Fair minded and upstanding people would NOT go and nick water, good grief, whatever next.

That's pretty shameful.
