Horrendous

Did driver fall asleep.

It's amazing anyone actually survived that crash.
I always think it's particularly sad when you see the possessions strewn over the road....perhaps items packed for a holiday they will never have.

It's amazing that anyone survived that horrible wreck...

A Foreign Office spokeswoman said: "We are providing assistance following a road traffic accident in France, in which three British nationals have sadly died and two others have been hospitalized.

Sad that the driver {father} might have fallen asleep at the wheel {yet to be determined} but to have such a horrible accident happen and in a foreign country --- at least it wasn't in some backwater-3rd world place where critical care would be 'IFFY'...prayers for all involved.

I did see that once. Early one morning where I used to live.
Suitcases thrown open and clothes and little bits everywhere like sunglasses, books, pens.....
It haunted me all day.

I later learned that it was a family on their way to the airport. They all died I think.

Your post took me right back.

Really sad.
