Trevor kavanagh talking sense
FOR David Cameron and pro-EU campaigners there is only one thing worse than a terrorist bomb in Brussels — and that is a copycat attack in the UK before June 23.
Downing Street has long feared a Paris-style massacre would fuel anti-EU sentiment against immigration and push voters towards Brexit in the referendum.
Now police are warning such an atrocity is not only likely here but perhaps inevitable, inflicting a simultaneous bloodbath on up to ten separate targets.
Yet hysterical Twitterati and social media trolls swarmed into a frenzy over suggestions the failure to guard our borders has anything to do with the Brussels killings.
They denounced The Sun’s Tony Parsons for daring to tweet: “Thoughts are with the people of Brussels. No nation in the world can protect its citizens without protecting its borders.”
They savaged respected columnist Allison Pearson for saying: “Brussels, de facto capital of the EU, is also the jihadist capital of Europe, and the Remainers dare to say we’re safer in the EU!”
And they branded Ukip’s Nigel Farage “shameless Brexit scum” for re-tweeting her message
The Prime Minister chipped in, saying: “It’s not appropriate at this time to make any of those sorts of remarks,”
Yet all of them were voicing the undeniable truth.
The link between uncontrolled mass immigration and terror is impossible to dispute. The IS thugs who slaughtered 130 innocent civilians in Paris last November hired people-smugglers to criss-cross Europe from the Middle East.
The head of Europol warns 5,000 jihadists are at large in the EU after slipping in with the Syrian exodus

Stay in eu and all of them can freely come here too!!!
How can our govt control security for our people if we can't control our borders...!?

I would have thought it was obvious that there might be terrorist attacks here before the referendum, with a view to persuading people to vote to come out of the EU. Terrorists would like see Europe destabilised I'm sure.

I would like to see our democracy restored and an end to the free movement that is allowing so many dangerous people in here and across Europe!

So...an unfree democracy. What if the democratic public then chooses to open society up? Isn't that a policy option?
Or do you propose closing off certainly policy options? In that case, it wouldn't be a democracy, would it?

Re: Trevor kavanagh talking sense
How would you like your country controlled by a group of unelected bureaucrats say in Peru...?
With them making up all your laws and regulations and your Whitehouse just rubber stamping them...
And then with the whole of south America being able to just come and go whenever they wanted...?
To live and stay as long as they wanted...?
Claim benefits and use all your public services etc...?
And your country has to pay in $80 million a day for this Peru 'govt' for all this...!?
Doesn't sound too great does it...!!!???
Well that's pretty much like we have with the eu...!!!

Re: Trevor kavanagh talking sense
Thread title a bit misleading. Kavanagh doesn't have a political voice in the Sun.
He simply copies and pastes what Murdoch tells him to write.
His opinion changes like the wind and is without fail ,popluarist.

Problem is Tom Murdoch is as English as a Syrian is. You wouldn't take notice from someone born in the middle East why listen to someone born in the far south-east.

Strange he isn't here telling us how great this arrangement would be for America as he does telling us how great the similar eu arrangement is for the UK. ..

We have our own EU, it's called the United States of America:
Different laws, different languages, different cultures, different ethnicities, different values, and free movement

No, it's not -- but it's similar. The U.S. is not the homogeneous country Europeans seem to think it is:
San Antonio, Texas
New Orleans, Louisiana
Chicago, Illinois
Orange County, California
Oakland, California
Dallas, Texas
Re: Trevor kavanagh talking sense
And we already have the UK with those things...
Made up of 4 different countries!!!
So my question still stands!!!
The UK in eu is like the USA being in the situation proposed in my earlier post!!!

Re: Trevor kavanagh talking sense
No, the U.S. is already a large conglomeration of places with different laws, races, religions, cultures, languages and customs from one another, and it's ruled from Washington, D.C., which is over 2,600 miles from Los Angeles.
That would be more like the UK being ruled from Baghdad.

Re: Trevor kavanagh talking sense
We are that in a smaller scale... and UK being in the eu is much like usa being in the situation proposed before.
