76 Years Ago Today - Tom & Jerry Cartoon Hit Our TV's
What was some of your favorite cartoon shows?
And since I'm clueless of what England had to offer - if any...names of characters and the shows would be interesting to look up.
Cartoons used to be for Saturday Morning only --- but that was back when we only had TV to watch during certain hours of the day.
Or you'd have this image to see this TEST PATTERN >>>
Or if the signal was interrupted - then we go this one >>>
I did find one BBC image >>>

These all predate the entrance of 'COLOR' to our viewing pleasure! LOL

How cute; I vaguely remember seeing something about the cartoon 'Danger Mouse'...perhaps when we finally had access to the BBC stations over here!
So long ago, so many memories.

I'd heard that over here too; MAVOTV {mothers against violence on TV} wanted a X rating on all of those old cartoons or just removed from Saturday morning viewing:
Tom & Jerry
Willey Coyote vs Road Runner
Basically that would entail all of the cartoons from the 80's back to the beginning of TV:
one of my all time favorites were > > >

Road Runner was another favourite, that manufacturer ACME must be worth a few quid!

I loved Tom And Jerry but they have a few years to go to catch up with Oor Wullie who was 80 just a week or so ago. Wullie is a national treasure here in Scotland and he really should be knighted.
We awe love Wullie
