Breast Ironing

Where the developing breast tissue is subjected to heat to burn it away to that young girl's do not develop breasts and therefore attract men. This story was on the News this morning though the link below is from last year.

Very apt topic on International Woman Day, so many women around the world fighting things like this. I have supported Women for Women for a long time. It's an uphill battle. They try to work from the ground up, giving girls the confidence to refuse to have it and FGM, done and it is making a difference.

What's most disconcerting here is that there's a need, as the females see it, of performing what amounts to mutilation because men can't control themselves. Women as sexual objects, sexual trophies, makes me sick. FGM is all about the same thing. It's gross and disgusting and should be wiped from the face of the earth.

Couldn't agree with you more. Perhaps we are dealing with it from the wrong side of the coin, instead of empowering women, perhaps we should be flattening some men? Wink

Makes you wonder where all this comes from, doesn't it? To me it points a lot to fear of women, and the power they actually hold. A child can only truly be traced through the maternal line. How long did men blame women for not producing a son? We now know that a man determines the sex of the child.

With you completely on that. I do think a lot of men's controlling and abuse of women stems from fear of their power.

I agree with everything you have both said here.

Why is this allowed to happen in this country? We may not be able to control whats happening in Africa but surely this would not happen in the UK if the authorities stopped turning a blind eye these barbaric practices performed on children.....to supposedly protect them from men.

Why not castrate the men instead if they cant control themselves?

World wide I doubt women will ever be equal.

Women who have fought for equality, who make their own choices and consider themselves equal to any man....put their bodies through the most amazing ordeals.

They have their breasts and vaginas surgically altered, and I would bet that most do this just to please and attract men. scratch

It's a woman's natural desire to attract a mate, just as it is with men. Nothing wrong with that. Making yourself as desirable as possible is natural, and it usually makes a woman feel good too. But, we now have unrealistic goals and role models, people who are photoshopped to the tits half the time with fake teeth, breasts, hair, nails, plastic surgery and designer vaginas and bleached arseholes. I mean, who the fuck said your down belows have to look a certain way? I blame the porn industry.

I think fashion magazines are equally to blame. Girls look at airbrushed models and think that's the norm....sow the seeds early that women should be impossibly perfect and it can stay in that womans psyche for life.
Getting older is a sin too....that's why so many women (and men to a certain extent) try to cling on to youth.

But at least western women have the choice, the poor girls who are forced to have mutilations done to their bodies to prevent men from taking advantage of them ...that's the issue here (sorry to have taken the thread off topic)
