Just another case of jobs being given to contracts abroad instead of here.

I suppose it would have been worse if they had given the contract to Germany though.

I mean seriously it not like you want the medals to be complete Junk so you need them made in a nation capable of making decent medals.

If it had moving parts you'd want it to be made in Germany, but it just needs to be pretty so France in best. Razz

The maker of the medals isn`t that important, because medals are from the country giving them not the manufacture`s

only the material is important for certain medals

yes the fact that the contract has been given to a French company is obviously based on cost
so the question you need to ask is why is it more expensive to make them our self`s

well the "government" is looking to cut as much as they can However the torys are are so stupid they don`t see that the short term savings of France making them is out waded by the lost jobs in this country
