The abuse and death of Poppi Worthington.

This tiny 13 month old child was put to bed happy and healthy, in the morning she was found suffering from internal sexual injuries which she died from.
This happened in 2012, her father, Paul Worthington is still a free man.....hopefully not for much longer. Cumbrias leading coroner yesterday said that there was "sufficient reasons to resume the probe".

Judge Mr Justice Jackson has twice confirmed that the evidence (that was submitted) shows that "Poppi's significant internal bleeding could only sensibly be explained as the result of penetrative trauma and that Mr Worthington was responsible for that".

The judge also noted that important facts like    the 'how, when and where' the baby had died had been left blank on police reports.
Three police officers on this case were investigated themselves, one was suspended.
The CPS has said that if more evidence is found ? they will consider this carefully.

A spokesperson for the NSPCC  said the way Poppi has been failed is deeply worrying and shocking.

It's horrendous and why it has been allowed to go on so long, who the hell knows.  I believe the father has now moved abroad! (I think)

It's horrible Sassy....he did go abroad, not sure where he is now.
The mistakes and coverups have been unbelievable.
The CPS said there was not enough evidence which was a joke.....they can let cases (for eg in this weeks press a man was cleared of groping an actress as she walked past him in a crowded train station....CCTV clearly showed he didn't touch her) yet the CPS allowed that to go through, a serious case like Poppi, who died from serious internal bleeding after her father had watched porn and was found in the original inquest to be responsible for her injuries (he was arrested but never charged) is dismissed.

It makes me sick.

Me too, and that 'groping' charge was a complete and utter joke.  I simply cannot understand why the father was never prosecuted over Poppi, poor little soul.

Cover up springs to mind.
Odd that so many facts of her death were not tlisted in the original police reports.

It's like Poppis horrendous abuse and death didn't count for much.

God willing the case will be reopened and investigated fully and the bastard who did this will get his punishment.

I certainly hope so.

What a complete cock-up and what a failure of procedure.
Poor little baby. I do hope her death will not go unpunished.
