My old cat [scruff] has been sick every day for a couple of weeks. Took him to vets this morning,vet examined him, could not find any lumps ect, looked in his mouth, checked his ears, nothing seen. Vet said will have to take blood test and send away for detailed checks. Took him away for blood test, brought him back and presented me with a bill for £127. If anything untoward found treatment will be carried out. God knows what that will cost. The money Vets charge is way over the top, they know they can away with it when people love their pets. 6 years ago I paid nearly £2000 for operations on his damaged hips.

funny you should say this i had my two dogs at vets yesterday Millie has a ear infection £34.99 consultation fee (i am fine with that )
two sets of drugs for the ear infection £27 ok with that as well
what i am pissed at is £58 and £59.77 for worming and flea treatments two tablets total bill £189
