I believe it -- I think the testimony of past stars is damning. If they have any records of being paid to throw a match, that could be enough, but of course how many people are going to out themselves as cheaters?

Not many and it probably doesn't just cover throwing a match and could include serving a double fault in a particular game during the match. We saw that happening in the cricket where bets were placed that a 'no ball' would be bowled in a particular over and it did because the bowler was briefed to do it.
They got done for that and rightly so.
