Angela Merkel faces new rebellion over refugees
More than 40 MPs from Angela Merkel's Christian Democrat party sign petition calling for Germany's borders to be closed to asylum seekers
Angela Merkel is facing a fresh rebellion over her refugee policy, with more than 40 politicians from her Christian Democrat party reportedly signing a petition to close Germany's borders to asylum seekers. The rebels plan to call for a vote on the proposal at the next party meeting on January 26.Mrs Merkel has come under intense pressure to change her “open-door” refugee policy since it emerged that asylum seekers were among the suspects in the New Year’s Eve sex attacks in Cologne. More than 650 women have now come forward to file criminal complaints over the attacks, around 45 per cent of them for sexual assault.

Well we were all singing her praises for an open door policy with allowing hundreds of thousands in without checks, which now could see the door closed to asylum seekers. Again regressives polciies now may cost dearly those who genuinely need help and all because some idiotic leaders let down the people of the nation placing their security as second best. This could fundementally see the collapse of the EU itself and all because the handling of the refugee crisis was poor and that clearly many migrants jumped on the bandwagon of this to gain entry into the EU, when they never should have. What price will she and genuine refugees now pay for her negligence?

Also, when did you decide that the Telegraph is a reliable source? You didn't think so not long back.

Where did I say it was reliable here?
See what I mean petty hate for posters is all you have and that is utterly immature
I suggest you move on, because I am not pandering your childish behaviour anymore

Why would you post a news item from a source which you consider to be unreliable?

Because its news, you then have to then look into how viable it is and from what else I have read this is reliable.
You see a big part of my job is research Rags, hence why I am very good at it
Now as you haave nothing at all to say on the debate, you have again made this some infantile grudge match
Again best you learn to move on

You keep starting threads on this subject. It's almost as if you were trying to provoke hatred of refugees ...

Really?
Based on how I am not abusive or hateful about them?
That is very interesting Rags, because as seen you keep proving you are not interested in debate but the poorest and most childish goading, which I have to say any 3 year old child would be better at than you.
Again best you move on because you really are being ever so childish

No idea why you would feel sorry, its up to people if they are interested, not every thread will interest people and I happilly accept that Rags, but again you have now droped to a 2 year old even being better at goading than you could ever be. I mean I do not know whether to laugh at how poor and immature your goading is or pity you, even little kids in the playground are better than you are at this

So anyway, is anyone really surprised at this? It was really obvious as soon as Merkel opened the doors that it would end badly.
