Anti-vaxxer loons go ballistic on Mark Zuckerberg after he posts photo of daughter’s doctor visit
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg stirred up a hornet’s nest of anti-science sentiment on Friday when he posted a photo on Facebook of himself with his daughter Max at the doctor’s office.
Zuckerberg’s offense? Writing “Doctor’s visit — time for vaccines!”
The Facebook posting immediately drew both praise and condemnation for the tech billionaire, as supporters of childhood vaccinations battled with anti-vaxxers in the comments on a post that was “liked” over 2.5 million times.
Among the over 56,000 comments were many who praised Zuckerberg for caring about his daughter’s health, including Stuart Duncan who wrote: “As someone with autism, with a son with autism, as someone who is constantly watching good people put their own children at serious risk because of old, fraudulent fears of vaccines and autism… thank you for being sensible. Thank you for doing what’s right and also for showing everyone else that it’s the right thing to do as well.” The anti-vaxx movement has fought against child hood immunizations based upon a since discredited study linking childhood vaccines to autism. The anti-vaxx movement recently funded a new study looking for a link, only to have it blow up in their faces when researchers returned empty-handed.

See my stance on this is simple:
Most of the vaccines are necessary, but WHY lump them all together? At three years old a child is having FIVE live cultures put into their bodies in two vaccines!
It's not right! It's cheap and it's potentially harmful.
And the flu jab is just unnecessary - I think that more info will come to light about this and it will be withdrawn.

The flu jab has saved thousands of lives Eddie.
Sorry but what is wrong to do is people on the internet thinking they know better than experts, which is very troubling when it comes to needed vaccines for people. There is always going to be some it does not work with or have side effects, which is the same with any medicine. To go off the view of these people would render all medicines redundent incase something had adverse effects. Its just not practical to go off poor fear based unfounded claims

I'm not against vaccines per say, but would agree with you on that, they lump to many together, common sense that a tiny body would find fighting so many at once difficult.
My two eldest had their jabs with no problems. Jacky had a high temperature and a fit after her first jab, she'd never had one before, and the DOCTOR advised me not to let her have anymore.

So a person is disgusting if they know rightly a story is bull being as doctors no matter if there has been side effects in one would not go off the bases to stop others, when what is in them is different. That just makes no sense at all and hence why I do not believe you. Plus this is not the first time you have been caught out telling porkies on medical situations.

Didge, it's you that needs to take the look. I have never lied about anything medical, and if you think I would lie for one second about my daughter or anything to do with her you are the most revolting piece of flotsam possible.
And now I'm putting you on ignore, because you really are out of your tree.

What are the side effects of the DTP-Hib vaccine?
It is quite normal for your baby to be miserable within 48 hours of the injection. Some babies develop a fever. Sometimes a small lump develops where the injection was given. This lump can last for several weeks.

If your child has a worse reaction to the DTP-Hib vaccine - for example, some form of fit - your doctor may not give your child any more doses of the vaccine. If this happens, talk to the doctor, nurse or health visitor. If a baby has a fit in the first 48 hours after being given the DTP-Hib vaccine at 2, 3 and 4 months, having a fit is no more common than at any other time for young babies.

This was also true of the DTP vac before the Hib was added, the same advices was given.

Who should not get DTaP vaccine or should wait?
- Children with minor illnesses, such as a cold, may be vaccinated. But children who are moderately or severely ill should usually wait until they recover before getting DTaP vaccine.
- Any child who had a life-threatening allergic reaction after a dose of DTaP should not get another dose.
- Any child who suffered a brain or nervous system disease within 7 days after a dose of DTaP should not get another dose.
- Talk with your doctor if your child: had a seizure or collapsed after a dose of DTaP, cried non-stop for 3 hours or more after a dose of DTaP, or had a fever over 105 °F after a dose of DTaP.

People who can't get the flu shot:
Children younger than 6 months are too young to get a flu shot
People with severe, life-threatening allergies to flu vaccine or any ingredient in the vaccine. This might include gelatin, antibiotics, or other ingredients. See Special Considerations Regarding Egg Allergy for more information about egg allergies and flu vaccine.
http://www.cdc.gov/flu/protect/whoshouldvax.htm
Note: There are certain flu shots that have different age indications. For example people younger than 65 years of age should not get the high-dose flu shot and people who are younger than 18 years old or older than 64 years old should not get the intradermal flu shot.

Its not life threatening though and again that is based off the ingredients for the same vaccine, of which there is many. If she had said for the 5 in 1 that I could have believed based off what she said that the GP might have advised to stop anymore of that specific vaccine. Even then it would be unlikely. But to claim all other vaccines, would be comeplete nonsense being as they have varying ingredients.
That is why I know she is telling porkies.

Re: Anti-vaxxer loons go ballistic on Mark Zuckerberg after he posts photo of daughter’s doctor visit
A febrile seizure is a fit that can happen when a child has a fever.
Febrile seizures are also sometimes called febrile convulsions. They are relatively common and, in most cases, aren't serious.
Around one in 20 children will have at least one febrile seizure at some point. They most often occur between the ages of six months and three years.
During a febrile seizure, the child's body usually becomes stiff, they lose consciousness and their arms and legs twitch. Some children may wet themselves. This is known as a tonic clonic seizure.
Read more about the symptoms of febrile seizures.
What to do during a seizure
If your child is having a febrile seizure, place them in the recovery position. Lay them on their side, on a soft surface, with their face turned to one side. This will stop them swallowing any vomit, keep their airway open and help prevent injury.
Stay with your child and try to make a note of how long the seizure lasts.
If it's your child's first seizure, or it lasts longer than five minutes, take them to the nearest hospital as soon as possible, or dial 999 for an ambulance. While it's unlikely that there's anything seriously wrong, it's best to be sure.
If your child has had febrile seizures before and the seizure lasts for less than five minutes, phone your GP or NHS 111 for advice.
Don't put anything, including medication, in your child’s mouth during a seizure because there's a slight chance that they might bite their tongue.
Almost all children make a complete recovery after having a febrile seizure.

Hi KD, just looked at the schedule of vaccinations my other two had (keep all their info in a tin, even bootees lol), in the 60s/70s they didn't have half as many as they do now:
2 months: DTP, TOPV (trivalent oral polio virus)
4 months: DTP, TOPV
6 months: DTP, TOPV
1 year: Measles, TB test
1-12 years: Rubella, Mumps
1 1/2 years: DTP, TOPV
4-6 years: DTP, TOPV
It was the 2month one Jackie had a high fever for long time, we had to sponge her down with cool water over and over again, then she had a massive fit and turned rigid and blue. Phone the doc who came out to see her (they did in those days). As it was within 12 hours of the jab, he said definitely no more of the first 3, and the follow up to them at 1 1.2 and 4-6 under any circumstances because her reaction had been extreme.
Have a good night

however that said the same would apply for any drug /vaccine some people will have a allergic reaction to the ingredients and that reaction can be life threatening it depends on the individual some women can`t use tampons because they might suffer TSS.
My daughter is allergic to morphine(unfortunately ) and has to be given another drug
Any fitting is dangerous not only could you choke to death on vomit, bite your tongue clean off and choke on the blood this is why you need to get them in the recovery position and put something in there mouth so that can bite down on it
a temperature of over 37.5C (99.5F) is a fever.

Re: Anti-vaxxer loons go ballistic on Mark Zuckerberg after he posts photo of daughter’s doctor visit
Again you go off bad reasoning as again the ingredients in the different vaccines are different. Which is what you keep failing to grasp. Sassy after knowing I had caught her out tried to change this based on the 1 in 5 which seems improbable also, being as the vaccine was not created until the 1980's of which it takes years of testing before being introdcued into the market. Again because one vaccine has caused as claimed a reaction, this at best would have only at the doctors discrection possible they may have advised to stop taking anymore of the doses for that vaccine. To claim they would stop other vaccines, is a falsehood on every level.
Like I say there is so many flaws in the story and you know there is when more aspects are added that just do not add up

yes mister expert your so like great like we all bow before your magnificence your so god like in you opinion and your ability to know things no other mortal has privy toDidge wrote:Again you go off bad reasoning as again the ingredients in the different vaccines are different.
Like I say there is so many flaws in the story and you know there is when more aspects are added that just do not add up
how you can see in to the deep time vortex and see the past and the future ,how at the only lifting of your magnificent and god like finger you can diagnose any medical condition ,and put our lowly medicine men to shame
all than money they wasted on tuition when all we really needed was you oh great and magnificent one
we are non worthy

Lots of accusations there Korben, which shows what a vile individual you are, which means your emotions rule your reasoning which is a shame really.
Again, think of me what you like, if that is how you view me, that is your choice, but it will not change the fact you are incompetant on this thread as you were also on the hate crime also.
