Watch Angela Eagle wipe the floor with George Osborne at PMQs

It was Angela Eagle's first appearance at Prime Minister's Questions today - and she ran rings around the Chancellor

With David Cameron on a jolly around Europe , George Osborne took his place at Prime Minister's Questions.
Labour's Angela Eagle was picked to go head to head with the Chancellor - and she gave him an extremely hard time.
The Shadow Business Secretary was picked from Jeremy Corbyn 's top team to deputise for the Leader at PMQs, but today was her first appearance.

She rose to her feet to a wall of cheers and jeers from MPs - and opened with a joke, quipping that it was "nice to get such a warm welcome."

Ms Eagle took Osborne to task over the Prime Minister's EU charm offensive, joking that "it's no wonder we're buying him a private jet."

And she taunted Osborne with a "message from Donald in Brussels" - a sly reference to European Council president Donald Tusk.

Eventually, Eagle riled Osborne so much he seemed irritated, suggesting she ask more "serious" questions.
