Kind Woman Buys Everything In Toy Shop So Homeless Children Won't Go Without This Christmas

A kindhearted woman has purchased the entire contents of a a toy shop so she can give homeless children a Christmas to remember.Carol Suchman, a businesswoman from New York, bought all the toys, games and school supplies from the Hudson Party Store in Manhattan after walking past and seeing it had closed down.
"The toys in there looked so sad, and they were gathering dust," she told CBS MoneyWatch."It occurred to me we should bring those toys to where they should be going - to all the homeless kids in the city."
Suchman, who donates toys to homeless kids every year, negotiated a deal with the shop's owner and came away with the entirety of the store's contents.

She then donated it to New York's Department of Homeless Services. Suchman, who usually donates anonymously, says she hopes her actions will inspire others to give this Christmas.
What a woman.

It certainly will brighten up many of the children and is a wonderful thing to do, but it still concerns me whether if that money would have been better spend on ensuring those kids actually have a home for Christmas or at least a roof over their heads out of the cold this Christmas. As I am sure that would be priority on their list for Christmas.

Still it is a very lovely thing to do.

If they went without Christmas, these kids would see what losers their parents are and maybe have a chance of learning the value of work. But no, the lefty way prevails again, and soon they'll be making everyone who works do this -- all in the name of fairness, of course.

You cant take it out of kids because their parents either cant be bothered or cant afford Christmas presents for them.

I liked the idea some supermarkets have of leaving a drum at the checkout so shoppers can buy a gift along with their shopping....the gifts get wrapped and given to kids who have nothing for Christmas.

I think the story of the American lady is lovely.....its more in the keeping of what Christmas should be than the grabbing greed that so many prefer.

So I was pretty much spot on, because you actually do think the "red bit" is what liberals would do ...

think....I KNOW its what liberals would do.

prior to 2010 labour had 13 years of rule to actually DO something...what did they do...feck all, in fact their incompetance caused all sorts of shite....(and yes they bear some responsibility for the banking mess...think lack of regulation)

they could have done no end of good, but instead do what lefty's do best...the "fiddled" with things , instead of governing, they were more interested in stopping old rich tossers chasing useless red vermin around than providing homes for the homeless, more interested in introducing more and more pointless legislation than preventing the need for tax credits

they were more interested in flooding the country with immigrants to gerrymander the vote than regaining control of social housing, core industries, (power, water etc)
they were more interested in "looking after" the foreigner than dealing with asian grooming gangs, even to the point of threatening those who highighted this with trumped up charges of racism...

they were more interested in the euro gravy train than looking after SME's in britain, allowing the full burden of EU idiocy to fall even on "one man band" businesses (one result of which is that it is totally uneconomical for me and hundreds of other folks that used to to make wooden toys...as a result we import more crap from china)

now explain to me why the left is any "better" than the right (as we actually have in the UK) both are shite, and both have only the interests of themselves at heart...

btw...this cold weather is interesting....I actually saw an MP with his hands in his OWN pockets for a change
