When a vet in New Zealand found a litter of kittens abandoned on their clinic doorstep, they naturally thought nothing of taking them in and looking after them.
But soon after they did, vets and nurses noticed a tabby cat stalking the premises for days on end.
And every time they opened the door, she tried to dart inside.

Eventually they gave up and let her in, and were surprised to find that not only was she a nursing mum, she was running straight for the kittens.
It turns out, they were her babies all along.

Needless to say, they whole family was happy to be reunited.
