Not only that but we have seen and it is becoming a reality of obtaining the goal of reaching equality for women, homosexuals, disabled, ethnic groups etc. If you are claiming this is not something to appluaded, then you cleary are not a proponent of equal rights. As this has helped bring about as seen groups nearer to the goal of equality.

You then elude to the failings of the Police, Social Services and council on grooming gangs. Where many did not take the victims claims seriously. You blame this only on PC, which is very much in error, because as seen for decades many victims of child sex abuse have not had their claims taken serioiusly. Now PC may have played a part wrongly int he mindset by some who failed to act, but of those who did, were contradicting PC and the intented purpose of PC. Many of the victims of grooming gangs were children in care, this a marginalized minrority group. So are children also a minority group. In fact there is many groups, inlcuding victims of crime. So the inaction of the authorities ended up discrminating against these victims by not taking their claims seriously. As seen the biggest problem has and always has been taking the claims of victims seriously. Victims have constantly been marginalized and discrminated for decades. This is evident where countless sex offenders for crimes they committed years ago are only being convicted in large numbers recently. The abuse at care homes that has come to light, the celebrities etc. It has always been about the victims being discriminated against by not having their claims taken seriously. If anything PC when applied with its intended purpose and meaning would not allow for this group to be marginalized. If those in authorities had actually applied PC, then the victims claims would have been taken seriously. They were instead marginalized and thus conflicting with the concept of PC. I told you before, it cannot be PC, if a group ends up being marginalized and discriminated against.

To claim it is to stop any discussion is a pure invention on your part, as you can still discuss countless of these topics, without such prejudiced language. So why is that such a big deal to you and others, that you are just basically being asked politely to avoid being hateful and prejudice?
It is because you want to continue to invent a justification that makes discrimination acceptable.

If you look at this usage of the term in the 20th century, the term was popularised by conservatives as a derogatory term towards the lefty progressives. Just like today.

But do you think that calling him a cripple is taunting him by default just because of the word? Is it not the tone you use and the context which counts? People sometimes use the word "crippled" to describe themselves if they've broken a leg, for example.

Those terms are a joke.

The use blackboard-chalkboard terms were debated was debated when I was a kid. I remember we as kids thought it was ridiculous. "What next, changing Ba-ba Black Sheep?", was the common response.

Even words like n---er and Paki - those words in itself are not offensive by themselves. It's context and intent. Banning words is not going to change people's intent.
