Vatican to take in two refugee families as Pope calls for 'every religion' to help

The Pontiff continues his outspoken support for migrants by saying says ‘gospel calls us to be close to the smallest and to the abandoned’



Pope Francis has called on every religious community across Europe to do their part to stem the refugee crisis and offer sanctuary to migrant families.
In front of a crowd of thousands of people in St Peter’s Square, the Roman Catholic leader said it was not enough to simply encourage the refugees with calls for courage and patience. Instead, he suggested, tangible demonstrations of help were required.

“May every parish, every religious community, every monastery, every sanctuary of Europe, take in one family,” he said.
The comments came as thousands of refugees from Syria arrived in Austria and Germany after an exhausting journey form Hungary, amid an escalating debate within the EU about how to handle the crisis.
The European commission is expected to release a proposal this week calling for EU members to agree to a quota system in which each would agree to host a portion of an estimated 160,000 refugees.
In Germany and other parts of Europe, thousands of migrants have been welcomed by volunteers who have donated food and clothing. But the pope is calling on the faithful to do more.
“Before the tragedy of tens of thousands of refugees fleeing death in conflict and hunger and are on a journey of hope, the gospel calls us to be close to the smallest and to those who have been abandoned,” he said.
For Catholics, offering shelter to a refugee family would be seen as a “concrete act of preparation” for the Jubilee Year of Mercy beginning in December, he added.
Francis said the Vatican would itself be extending help to two families who will be taken in by Vatican parishes.
The Argentinian pontiff rarely makes such specific statements about ways to offer charity and assistance, but he has been an outspoken supporter of refugees and migrants since the beginning of his papacy.
In 2013, long before the current refugee crisis, in which thousands have died attempting the treacherous journey from Libya to the southern shores of Italy, became daily news, Francis made a visit to the Italian island of Lampedusa to visit migrants. There he criticised what he called the “globalisation of indifference” to their plight by rich countries.
More recently, Francis made pointed remarks about refugees and the European debate, including a comment in June that those countries and people who shut their doors to migrants ought to ask God for forgiveness. The comment came amid clashes between police and migrants on the border between France and Italy, after France refused to let migrants cross the border.
The pope’s stance has prompted rare criticism of the church by Italy’s rightwing opposition, led by Matteo Salvini of the Northern League, who in a radio interview once sarcastically asked how many migrants were living in Vatican City.
It seems that now Pope Francis will be able to offer a reply.

Some people claim to have family members as vicars and yet do not support them in their faith what kind of parent does that i ask you , how could a parent ridicule their own child's faith . Nothing loving about that especially when some will defend islam with their lives . No they're just not human they have bricks for hearts and are full of hatred which rots the body from inside . Hatred a slow painful death .

In this article, we are going to examine a few Roman Catholic doctrines and compare them with the Authorized Version of 1611 of the Bible. For Catholics who read this--if you will only believe the holy scriptures--the Bible (Authorized Version of 1611)--and nothing else, you can be released from deception today. When we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and read his word, we love him and he helps us to serve him and walk uprightly and understand what we need to know. Salvation is a free gift (reference Romans 5:15-16, 17)--no paying for "masses" (the "mass" is a horrendous blasphemy), "indulgences", etc. No "penance", crawling on your knees, purgatory (there is no purgatory, it is not in the Bible), etc. The Lord Jesus Christ died ONE time to purchase our eternal salvation. All that we have to do is REPENT of our sins, BELIEVE that he died for our sins, was buried and rose again on the third day, and we must also OBEY his word (his commandments are not grievous, reference I John 5:13). In the Roman Catholic church, it seems that the rich man has a better chance in the afterworld (according to her own false doctrine), because he can pay to have the masses performed to relieve himself of time in "purgatory" (which does not exist, but everlasting hellfire does). But in the Bible, we read on this wise, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! and, It is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. (Luke 18:24-25). Purgatory is a money maker. The historic sale of indulgences is a money maker. People's souls and purses have been farmed for the devil for centuries on end, "Peter's pence", statue idols, and on and on it goes--and it was done in the name of "Christianity".

The Roman Catholic Church is not Christian; her precepts contradict the Bible repeatedly. I agree.  The Roman Catholic Church is the Pauline church, and has nothing to do with Christ.  But then, neither do any religions that are based upon the blble of Nicaea.  Paul rewrote the life of Christ, and the mission of Christianity after the crucifixion.  

Paul never met Christ, nor did he ever converse (correspond) with him.

Actually Paul met with God on the Damascus road he also would have know a lot about the Christians at the time he was persecuting them, he also had a unique position in as much as he was in line to be the next high priest .

catholic church pauline, when paul writes of christ crucified and resurrected, paul never mentions praying to mary, he speaks against keeping the law and declares Jesus is the only way to God...

Salvation is a free gift (reference Romans 5:15-16, 17)--no paying for "masses" (the "mass" is a horrendous blasphemy), "indulgences", etc. No "penance", crawling on your knees, purgatory (there is no purgatory, it is not in the Bible), etc. The Lord Jesus Christ died ONE time to purchase our eternal salvation. All that we have to do is REPENT of our sins, BELIEVE that he died for our sins, was buried and rose again on the third day, and we must also OBEY his word (his commandments are not grievous, reference I John 5:13). In the Roman Catholic church, it seems that the rich man has a better chance in the afterworld (according to her own false doctrine), because he can pay to have the masses performed to relieve himself of time in "purgatory" (which does not exist, but everlasting hellfire does). But in the Bible, we read on this wise, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! and, It is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. (Luke 18:24-25). Purgatory is a money maker. The historic sale of indulgences is a money maker. People's souls and purses have been farmed for the devil for centuries on end, "Peter's pence", statue idols, and on and on it goes--and it was done in the name of "Christianity".

The Roman Catholic Church is not Christian; her precepts contradict the Bible repeatedly. Nowadays, it can be heard that the Roman Catholic Church gave us the Bible--but she actually burned Bibles and them that translated and believed the Bible (witness William Tyndale, a good and a great man). Rome is full of heresies (e.g., Mary remained a virgin) and blasphemies (e.g., the mass--many died for not believing this). She has killed multitudes of Christians. She has maintained her blasphemous reign as the so-called "church" by force and deception--not by the truth of the Bible (which she publicly railed against). The Bible reveals who Rome is and is therefore dangerous to her. Why is she posing as the Christian church? False religion is a money maker. Her doctrines/teachings have enabled her to collect wealth, delicacies, adoration, and power for centuries on end. Her doctrines are made up stories consisting of various elements and superstitions and pasted together with some Bible names. Even one of her popes said that the Roman Catholic false Christ (her transubstantiatable "victim,") is a made up fable. When the Roman Catholic "Church" speaks of Christ, it is speaking of its own invention, not the true Christ. That is why her doctrines are diametrically opposed to the Bible, they have been made up over centuries of time. One can find dates when various heresies have been added to the pot (infallibility of the pope, assumption of Mary, etc.). The Bible speaks of people who preach "another Jesus" (2 Corinthians 11:4)--and Rome is in that category.

Rome killed true Christians. Her heresies are manifested when someone reads the Bible. She has killed people for reading and translating the Bible. When Christians share the truth of God's word, Catholics who want to know the truth leave her (and so does their money). Rome has kept her reign by deceiving people with a false gospel and by force. Former Roman Catholic priest Richard Bennett boiled down her strategy--(1) get laws on the books in the various kingdoms and (2) then get them executed (see "The Pattern of Papal Persecutions, Then and Now", inquisit.htm).

The Bible reveals that Rome is drunken with the blood of the saints (Revelation 17:6), it intoxicates her, that woman that sits on seven mountains (Revelation 17:9). For centuries, the woman that sits on seven mountains has called Bible believing Christians, "heretics", and herself, "the Church"--but she is the heretic and she is not the church, but is actually the woman of Revelation 17, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH (Revelation 17:5).
