Laundry..................
OK, great drying weather here in the UK today but......is it wrong to hang your washing out overnight so it's dry when you get up in the morning?
Do you?
Would you if your neighbours couldn't see?
Is it something to be ashamed of?
Do you hang your panties on the inside so no-one can see?
Important stuff. Is line drying an English thing? As BigAndy9 (gone but not forgotten) would say......................Please discuss

Re: Laundry..................
Also, I find it best to hang clothes on hangers to dry, which is difficult on a washing line.

I sometimes peg hangers to the line. There is nothing like snuggling down in a line dried bed one of life's innocent and cheap pleasures x

You hang the whole bed on the washing line?

If you have the outlet, go for it. It's no worse than running your dishwasher after 8.

Re: Laundry..................
Why should anyone worry about hanging their washing out overnight? It's entirely sensible in this weather.

To me it makes perfect sense Quill but it can be frowned upon here. I love being able to dry my washing outside. It's quick, easier to iron, cheap and better for the environment. Win win x

I certainly wouldn't. Much better to hang it out overnight, than to leave it getting all smelly in the washing machine.

Re: Laundry..................
I don't really understand the question. Why would it even be an issue? I personally don't hang my washing outside for various reasons, but I've never really thought about the immorality of doing so.

Erm so what if your neighbours can see, what's it to them when you hang your washing out? And how on earth is it anything to be ashamed of? Not really getting this.

Hi Christie, it's certainly frowned upon by some here in the UK When the weather is lovely like it is now I do sometimes hang my washing out before I go to bed. It's all about using my limited time effectively

Well quite honestly, I would have better things to worry about than if my neighbours were frowning upon me for when I hanged my washing out.
You don't live on one of them posh neighbourhoods with the Hyacinth Bucket types, do you?

Re: Laundry..................
I used to line-dry all the time, and my mother did when I was a kid as well -- I can't now, though, living in an apartment. I love the smell of line-dried clothing. And yes, I put the undies on the line as well, but it's a little different when you're talking about seven pairs of boxer briefs
Yesterday would have been perfect -- about 40 C and 16 percent humidity, they'd have dried before I was finished hanging them ...
I've left them up overnight with no problem -- I think the big concern would be the humidity going up overnight and defeating the purpose, but it's always worked.
