Across Britain and the US, Centrism Is Out; Anti-Establishment Populism Is In
he politics of Britain and the United States are being warped. Centrism is out, anti-establishment populism is in.
The rise of Donald Trump as frontrunner for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination is mirrored by the blossoming support for Bernie Sanders, an old school democratic socialist who has gained traction on the left as the Democratic Party's alternative to Hillary Clinton.
In Britain, Eurosceptic MEP Nigel Farage failed to win a parliamentary seat at May's general election, however Ukip, the right wing party he leads, trawled more than 4 million votes, up from 900,000 in 2010.
More recently, Jeremy Corbyn, a veteran anti-war socialist, has emerged as favorite to be the next leader of the British Labour Party, garnering robust support from new and existing party members much to the frustration of his centrist rivals.
Yet the move away from conventional politics doesn't represent a shift by the electorate towards political extremism, rather a growing frustration at the ruling political class. Trump's June comments calling Mexican's "rapists" and "murderers" may have split the ears of the groundlings, yet his appeal goes far beyond base nativism.

The politics WAS WARPED, it was pushed to the Right, very right.
Now it's coming back to what the actual people want, and the centerists and RW can go .... themselves.

Except that view is very minority sassy.
Yes people are anti establishment, but many not that left wing.
Why?
Most people will follow what makes them have money, its true and also sad

No it's not, it's huge. It's exactly like the swell that swept the SNP to get all the seats, and for exactly the same reason. Nearly identical policies apart from the independence, and many Scots said they voted against independence, but for the SNP because of their policies. People we clamouring for the SNP to stand in England. They aren't any more. Ken Clarke says Corbyn could win in 2020, and he right, he can. People have had enough of this government, especially now they have seen the policies that they wouldn't talk about before the election (why people allowed themselves to be so fooled I have no idea). Now the .... Osborne is selling off everything the taxpayer owns to his mates at a knockdown rate, losing up billions, they are finally waking up.

meh cant make an Omelette without breaking some eggs
it needs a reboot, the centerist has become the sell out to the corporate power.
RW is unhappy with equality and being force to be kind and LW is sick of the corporates getting all the wealth. basically center has become take from LW and RW and give to neither.
we are at a turning point we could work towards post-scarcity society but that would destroy 90% of existing business so the gov't will prevent it and make people miss out instead as can be seen with digital piracy laws, they are an infinite resource but companies want finite resource profits per sale and proof that there is zero cost per unit is the fact that Pirate bay can distribute the product for free as many copies as needed, the idea that it should be $10-20 is ridiculous for a digital product.
Vote 1 skynet
LW RW is a distraction for the fact we are getting ripped off and the rich are holding humanity back far more than they help it for their own personal gain.

In the U.S. the left wing is ascending, as Sanders would defeat Trump by 21 percentage points (59 to 38) in the most recent poll asking that question late last month. He actually polls better against Trump than Clinton, who would still defeat Trump by 16 (56-40).
Sanders recently drew about 4,000 people to a rally in the majority Republican state of Louisiana. When he came to Texas, his campaign had to move into a larger venue than it had booked to hold a crowd of about 5,000.
Back in June, when Trump announced he was running, he paid actors $50 to attend his speech so the crowd would look bigger.
