Want to write to your MP about bill to bring back fox hunting next Thursday?
Cameron slipping in Bill to bring back hunting with dogs next Thursday, at this stage just to let them flush out the fox so that hunters can shoot them. At the moment this is already allowed providing only two dogs are used, so why would you need a pack? Like we don't know.

A hunt in full cry is a stirring sight, but if Foxes are causing problems lamping them at night is a better idea.

Can't say as I ever found them 'stirring'. My thoughts were with the fox or the stag about to be ripped to shreds and it's guts trailing over the ground, that and looking out for the hounds who run in front of us across the road, nearly caused an accident and we would of been heartbroken to have hurt a dog.

Have to say the sight of a terrified animal being chased by a bunch of chinless wonders have never struck me as stirring.

Re: Want to write to your MP about bill to bring back fox hunting next Thursday?
They say they are needed to control the fox populatiow but that is bollocks!
In the isle of wight there were no foxes until they were introduced for the sole purpose of hunting them.
Chasing a terrified animal for several miles to exhaustion then letting the dogs rip it apart is pure cruelty.
I don't really see the problem with foxes at all as this is what they eat...
"Foxes are omnivores and eat small mammals, birds, reptiles, frogs, eggs, insects, worms, fish, crabs, mollusks, fruits, berries, vegetables, seeds, fungi and carrion. In winter they mainly eat mammals, such as mice, rabbits and other small animals. In autumn their preference is fruit and berries like blackberries, apples and persimmons, plus acorns, sedges and tubers. In summer they eat lots of insects like crickets, beetles and caterpillars as well as frogs and mice. In spring they will fill up on birds' eggs and earthworms. They will even wade into shallow water for fish and crabs."
Plus they will also eat dead animals they come across.

If hunting is brought back, I shall install razor wire around my cricket ground.
That will fillet the dogs and do untold damage to the horses and Hooray Henries riding them. PRIVATE LAND - KEEP EFFING OFF!!!

You know what, I agree (faints).
Plus, hunts breed foxes and make artifical sets to put them in, after being hand-reared they are not frightened of people and are easy prey. That's been video'd over and over again.

Thrilled to bits that where I have moved to I now have a fox comes into the garden as night, and the couple across the road have badgers. Absolutely brilliant. Had foxes in a woody bit across the road when I lived in Colchester and watched them bring up their pups.

Besides they are native to the UK so you should just put up with it we do that with saltwater crocs and numerous venomous snakes, so i don't see why you cant with foxes.

Re: Want to write to your MP about bill to bring back fox hunting next Thursday?
Try telling that to the farmer on whos land I shot 12 foxes this winter/spring, who last year lost 48 lambs to the furry fiends.....
as for that stupid film clip of that "tame fox" clearly it is "ignorant propaganda"
that fox is NOT tame
it is an imprinted wild animal, and is likely to revert for no apparant reason....
I hope the person concerned understands that....and is prepared to take the (potential) consequences of their actions...
oh and ebola is native to sub saharan africa...perhaps they should "just put up with it"?
see I'm not that bothered...I dont shoot foxes unless my land owner says I got a probelm with foxes ...sort it
I wouldnt generally on principle shoot a fox since primarily they are inedible
now crows and magpies are different , there exists a state of war twixt them and me....
and pigeons are edible ...yum....
and a pain in the arse to farmers in any number......

48 lambs what's that 1% of births in a flock of commercial size.
hobby farmers
An African example would be lions elephants etc and unless you are saying Africans should wipe out these animals that are acutely a threat to humans your point is moot.
You see we expect African farmers to live with Lions and You lot go crying about foxes, You aint gonna get sympathy for that
and like Tommy said if one is actually causing trouble it is one thing but the general exception to not have any fox presence is just pathetic.

Ha! So Cameron bottled it. I might have to change my views about the SNP.
This was clearly an attempt to reintroduce hunting with dogs by stealth, and it failed - this time. Cameron is currently my least favourite person because of his attempt to bring back animal abuse as a sport, but at least he has egg on his face - for the moment.

I would add though, that better maybe if farmers installed better protection round their animals then even the shooting of foxes would not be needed either as they would not be any trouble.
