Russell Brand Confronted By Man Over 'Bulls**t' Minute's Silence Tunisia Attack Comments
[ltr]A friend of three of the victims who were gunned down in the Tunisian terror attacksconfronted Russell Brand over comments he made that last week's minute's silence was "bullshit".[/ltr]
[ltr]The comedian was cornered by a white van driver who wanted to know what he meant when he said that the silence was an "empty futile gesture" after 38 people were murdered at a holiday resort in Sousse.[/ltr]

Staged managed video.
He is excusing terrorism.
Yes its wrong about conflicts and giving arms, that though does not excuse people being murdered in cold blood.
That was a save face video after poor comments being made.

RB is a bit mouthy, but he's not excusing terrorism, he's saying that calling for a minute's silence was hypocritical.

Sorry Rags he is. He is blaming the outcome from other events to why it happened.
I fail to see why a minutes silence is wrong also, based off his reasoning. Whether he is angered at the government is one thing but for many the right thing to do is hold a minutes silence. The Country and its people is not culpable for all a Government does in it is arms deals. No matter which political party that is that makes these deals.
Anyway have things to do, so have a good evening

I always think a minute's silence is nice, but a lot of people do it because they're expected to. I've seen it in shops - some people carry on shopping through it - without speaking of course. Then they forget about it straight afterwards.

Exactly. That's what I think he meant too.
However, the minute's silence wasn't intended to show anything to the government, it was about honouring the victims, no matter our feelings toward the government, so in that, he was insensitive.
