a change of diet cured my cancer
First topic message reminder :
It's a miserable business, having cancer. I can remember those years clearly, and they were dreadful.
I had no family history of cancer, but I knew what it was when I found the lump in my breast in 1987. I tried to convince myself it wasn't real, but when I was diagnosed with cancer, I wasn't that surprised. It was a real strain on my family.
I was 42 and my sons, Mark and Tom, were 16 and six then, but it was hardest for my daughter, Emma, who was 13 - all her teenage years were blighted by my cancer.
And then one day, it all made sense - and what I discovered that day was to change my life for ever. It was six years after I was first diagnosed, and my family and I had been to hell and back. I'd had so many gruelling operations - a mastectomy, 12 sessions of chemotherapy and 35 radiotherapy treatments, and despite everything, I was still left with a lump the size of half a boiled egg sticking out of my neck.
It was a secondary cancer, since the disease had reached my lymph system, and I was absolutely fed up. I'd just had a session of chemotherapy which had had no effect on this latest large lump - I was measuring it with callipers, so I knew.

Summary
There’s a lot of merit to the overall message Professor Plant sets forth in her books. The effect of diet on certain cancers is attracting more and more research interest. The problem is, some of the details in the books, like the statements on microwave ovens, border on the superstitious. People with cancer deserve the facts, not vague and unsupported notions about free radicals and microwave ovens. It may not be a big deal to live without a microwave, but encouraging people to give up their microwave oven because doing so will help with curing or preventing cancer, as my friend had done, based on such little evidence; that strikes me as being altogether unhelpful.

Disgraced wellness blogger Belle Gibson has reportedly been taken to court over allegations she failed to donate promised funds to charity.
Consumer Affairs Victoria asked the Melbourne Magistrate's Court yesterday to order Ms Gibson to answer a number of questions, including about her allegedly faked brain cancer, the Herald Sun has reported.
"Ms Gibson markets wellness products, a cookbook and an app on the basis that she is a cancer survivor," Consumer Affairs Victoria's Blair Ussher reportedly told the court.
"She was marketing the goods on the basis that a certain percentage of the price would go to charities."

How dare you make money off these innocent people? I, like many others who suffer from a debilitating brain condition, bought your app, The Whole Pantry. I thought it would be good to try and make my lifestyle as healthy as possible. You said so yourself. You had terminal brain cancer. YOU survived, so I thought I could rid myself of illness as well. How idiotic I feel right now for believing you.
How dare you blame your lies on your rough start to life. You give your excuse that you had “a difficult upbringing.” Although I did not have a rough start, I went through many problems in my adolescence: depression, bullying and severe acne just to name a few. But you know what Belle? I got help from my counsellor and my doctor. And today I am in a much happier place, with some good antidepressants and acne cream to help me.
And now Belle Gibson, it’s time for you to get help yourself. Help to learn how to apologise to these people that you encouraged so much hope in, because you have upset so many people. People like my mum, a breast cancer survivor and a sufferer of Cowden’s Syndrome, which means she is at higher risk of cancer. People like my mother’s plastic surgeon who sees the devastating effects cancer can have on patients each day. He’s furious. People like myself — a fellow Cowden’s sufferer like my mum and a survivor of a severe brain condition.
I am ashamed to have wasted my money on your app. I am someone who believed in your lies. Someone that you instilled a glimmer of hope in.
And Exert for one that believed these false claims
