American Medical Association Votes to End Personal Vaccination Exemptions
"As evident from the recent measles outbreak at Disneyland, protecting community health in today’s mobile society requires that policymakers not permit individuals from opting out of immunization solely as a matter of personal preference or convenience," said board member Dr. Patrice Harris, according to Forbes. "When people are immunized they also help prevent the spread of disease to others."

It would be if you could opt out of getting vaccinated without putting the public in harm's way. Unfortunately, the measles outbreak proves that's not the case. Every person not vaccinated puts the rest of us at a greater risk.

You take away everybody else's right to remain healthy if you shirk your responsibility and don't vaccinate your stupid kids.

Not true. Herd immunity shows how the fewer people get vaccinated, the higher the risk to the entire public -- because up to 5 percent of people who get the vaccine aren't actually immunized against the virus:

It's not a cop out, it's science. Because the vaccination doesn't work on everyone, you have to get as many people successfully immunized as possible to prevent the spread of the disease.
Re: American Medical Association Votes to End Personal Vaccination Exemptions
how about no vaccination = immediate house arrest on reasonable suspicion of infection and NO publicly funded medical aid....
isolate em and let em die....

Man you can't argue with a religious freak. He has no idea what science, truth and facts are, so we have him at a disadvantage. i feel sorry for his feeble, narrow mind.

Why is HF being abused for his faith yet again? He hasn't mentioned it - he's talking about rights.
