christians: an inspirational story
Touching moment five-year-old boy begged his mother to buy a homeless man dinner... and then brought the entire restaurant to tears when he said grace with him

Well there certainly is a substantial amount of Christians that kill people in both South and North America for example.
I do agree most Christians would help anyone, again the kind of Christianity I approve of.

Are you denying the vast majority of the populations of all these nations are not Christian now?
It stands to reason that then a vast majority of these murders will be by Christians or do you deny this?

It also has a huge Muslim population here too so you should include them in the why we are allowing homelessness to happen . Don't just put the responsibility on Christians, in fact it isn't our responsibility is it , if there was enough money and housing to go around equally nobody would want for anything but that's not how it works .

Yes there are 2.9 million, but no Muslim stated to me what you claimed in regards to Christians Dibs.
You made a very bold claim about how all true Christians would help anyone. Clearly this is not the case, because we still have many people homeless.

they are heavily Christian.. to suggest Mexico (or the USA) is not is quite frankly ridiculous
Both are more Christian than the UK by a lot.

La Familia cartel is sometimes described as quasi-religious since its leaders, Moreno González and Méndez Vargas, refer to their assassinations and beheadings as "divine justice"[24] and that they may have direct or indirect ties with devotees of the New Jerusalem religious movement, which is noted for its concern for justice issues.[25][26][27][28][29][30] La Familia's boss and spiritual leader Nazario Moreno González, (a.k.a.: El Más Loco or The Craziest One) published his own 'bible',[24][31] and a copy seized by Mexican federal agents reveals an ideology that mixes evangelical-style self-help with insurgent peasant slogans. Moreno González, who was killed on December 9, 2010,[32][33] seems to have based most of his doctrine on a work by Christian writer John Eldredge,

There is plenty to go around, as half of the world's wealth is owned by 1 percent of its population.
Also, it's not very Christian to worry about scarcity, is it? Jesus can just "miracle" food and wine into existence, after all ...
Also also ... Luke 12:33.
Re: christians: an inspirational story
What question you do have to ask here is when a religious person does help someone, are they doing this because they want to help someone or are they doing this out of a view to be seen good in the belief of their God. Lets be honest here, because religious doctrine stipulates about doing good and there is rewards for doing good. Thus the motivation done out of doing something good is actually done out of an ulterior motive. One that seeks later reward or on the flip side to prevent eternal retribution.
Do not get me wrong it is wonderful that religions encourage people to help others and that is a good aspect of religion, but I think it is also right to point out where the motivation to do good comes from.

Interesting you should bring that up -- now that I think back on it, when I was doing my best to be a faithful Christian, I did feel that the fact that helping others was pleasing to God was really just the cherry on top of how it feels to do it.
It's pretty sad to think of those people who see helping others as a chore, or a religious duty performed to avoid punishment. To me every time I can help someone, I feel like I've earned my keep, that I've done something good with my time, that my existence has been justified a little more. I can't think of anything better than that.

It is interesting Ben, but we can also look at when we do good for someone because again it can also be argued that we are doing this to also make ourselves feel good about ourselves. We may not like to think so, but helping people is like a natural high, as it brings a wonderful feel good factor. So it could be argued, if we are really helping someone when we ourselves gain something from doing this, we are doing this for our own needs also. I think its the old argument that there is no real selfless good deed. Having said that I do not think people conciously think about that when they do help someone, because it will bring them a natural high and feel good factor. I have no doubt there are many religious people who would not conciously think about doing a good deed based on gaining a reward, but it will certainly be the motivating factor behind them doing so. That is the point as well in that many will think God will be please with them when they do so, hence the motivating factor.

Actually the important post has been edited, which is why you clearly are deranged it seems. As the point was made about all Christians would help people. I countered this to rightly say some murder people like in the North and South American Continents. If you think thaat is hateful, may I suggest you get yourself checked in for evaluation. So no hate was directed at Christians, in fact my family are Christians and all that is proven here is that youi are nothing more than a shit stirring little immature child, as no hate was directed at any Christians.
