Liberals/orthodox Jews fear Netanyahu will impose ISIS style `Zionist Sharia' on Israel
Tel Aviv
In what seems to be a new issue sure to rock Israeli society, liberals, leftists and orthodox Jews came together to condemn efforts by the new Netanyahu Government to pass a `Jewish State' Bill in the Knesset.
Haaretz newspaper reported today that Benjamin Netanyahu's coming right-wing coalition government would push the Knesset into approving the Jewish nation-state bill and making legislative changes.
"Netanyahu will impose Zionist laws; he will distort the message of the Torah", said one orthodox rabbi at the small Tel Aviv gathering.
"What Netanyahu is doing smacks of ISIS--the latter have imposed their own brand of regressive, pseudo-Islamic Shariah; Bibi will do the same and bring in laws like death penalty for non-Jews, special privileges for a certain section of Jewish society; he will curtail civil liberties and curb whatever little democratic space still enjoyed by the Israeli Arab population", remarked a leftist Jew who had campaigned for Herzog.
Haaretz quoted an Israeli minister as saying on Friday that the new Knesset ministerial committee on legislation would work without brakes and respond to orders issued by the new government to make legislative changes to primary laws, especially with regard the judicial system and settlement construction.
It said that the new minister of justice who would be presiding over the ministerial committee on legislation would have a role in the enactment of different laws that serve the political orientations of the government.
For his part, minister of intelligence Yuval Steinitz said that Netanyahu's Likud party would strongly work again on pushing forward the Jewish nation-state bill at the Knesset, while the Jewish Home party would embark on promoting laws illegalizing any boycott or judicial action against Israel.

Well this group of people can be either of two things.
1) Delusional bearing in mind Israel is secular.
2) There is no evidence to back this claim, providing yet again how wrong such claims are, because there are actually people out there that believe these predictions, which this has no merit to be even b eing a trillion miles close in comparrison to ISIS.
It is that kind of stupidity that gives ammunition to Jew haters, because some left wing wally has made a load of unsubstanciated claims, which will not matter to the far left, far righty and Muslim extremists, as they will use this as a claim to be true to further manipulate the mind of people against Jews..
You still have not grasp it yet sassy how you contine to help further discrmination against Jews based off unsubstanciated claims like this. Making an appalling comparrison to ISIS which has utterly no meriit, is absurd and hateful to Jews all around the world.
I mean how below the belt are some of the left to compare Israel to ISIS as if on a par?
Utterly clueless such a statement and one that seeks to demonize Israel further based off no evidence but a perception of the writer who as seen is clueless, being irresponsible with journalism to the point he had no evidence but the damage is done, where now people will start to claim Israel on a par with ISIS based on nothing more than hearsay.
The Far left sure know how to incite more hate.

Re: Liberals/orthodox Jews fear Netanyahu will impose ISIS style `Zionist Sharia' on Israel
From back in November, one of the reasons Bibi called an election so that he could push this through.
Israeli president opposes proposed law to give ‘national rights’ to Jews only
Critics say ‘Jewish nation-state’ bill would diminish freedoms of minorities and give ammunition to enemies abroad
Israel’s president, Reuven Rivlin, has voiced his strong opposition to a controversial proposed new law that would define “national rights” in Israel as reserved for Jews only.
The “Jewish nation-state” bill would recognise Israel’s Jewish character, institutionalise Jewish law as an inspiration for legislation and possibly de-list Arabic as a second official language. It is being promoted vigorously by the prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, and was approved by the Israeli cabinet on Sunday, but has attracted fierce criticism from opponents inside Israel as well as from the US and the EU.
Critics contend that the law – whose final form of words has yet to be settled and whose language seems likely to be softened – threatens to undermine Israel’s declaration of independence, which gives equal rights to the country’s minorities, including Israeli Arabs, by promoting the idea of Israel as a “Jewish state” above one that is “democratic”.
In an emotional critique of the proposed new legislation, which would become part of Israel’s basic laws , Rivlin said those who had drawn up Israel’s declaration of independence “in their great wisdom, insist that the Arab public in Israel not feel like the Jews felt in the diaspora”.
Speaking at a conference in the southern city of Eilat, Rivlin, a member of Netanyahu’s Likud party, asked: “What is the point of this bill?”
“Does this bill not in fact play into the hands of those who seek to slander us? Into the very hands of those who wish to show that even among us, there are those who see contradiction between our being a free people in our land, and the freedoms of the non-Jewish communities in our midst?
“The declaration of independence, in its depth and greatness, bound together two components of the state as Jewish and democratic, democratic and Jewish.”
For his part, Netanyahu has argued that individual civil rights would be guaranteed under existing laws for all, but that “national rights” should be reserved for Jews.
Rivlin’s comments came as the bill becomes mired in the fractious politics of Netanyahu’s increasingly divided coalition, with centrist parties threatening to vote against it when it comes before parliament next week.
It has also drawn the opposition of some on the right – like Rivlin, as well as commentators – who argue it is an unnecessary law that gives ammunition to Israel’s critics internationally.
On Wednesday, former defence and foreign minister Moshe Arens condemned the new legislation in a comment piece for Haaretz.
“We don’t need legislation to make Israel a Jewish state, and you cannot make it a Jewish state by legislation,” he writes.
“It is a Jewish state because the majority of the population is Jewish, because the dominant language spoken is Hebrew, because most of the books published here are Hebrew books, and most of the songs sung here are Hebrew songs … But most important, because of the Law of Return which enables any Jew, anywhere in the world, seeking refuge or desiring to live in Israel, to come here and become a citizen of the country.
“But not only is the proposed law unnecessary, it is harmful. A quarter of Israel’s population is not Jewish, and probably the most important item on the nation’s agenda should be their integration into the fabric of Israeli society and their participation in the Israeli economy. Giving them the feeling of being at home, of being equal citizens.”
Other critics of the new law include Jamal Zahalka, an Israeli Arab member of the Knesset, who has said it will make the state “less democratic and more racist”. The Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, has described the law as a potential impediment to the peace process.
Rivlin’s intervention follows international warnings from the US and the EU.
A US state department spokesman said on Monday that it expected Israel to “continue [its] commitment to democratic principles”.
“The United States position, which is unchanged, has been clear for years – and the president and the secretary [of state] have also reiterated it – is that Israel is a Jewish and democratic state in which all citizens should enjoy equal rights.”

Yes we all know you can spam Sassy
Again no comparrison to ISIS on any level.
Also again speculation.
Seriously try looking at every single neighbouring country to Israel who have applling human right abuses, discrmination and inequality and are a million more times closer to Is, than Israel are. Netanyahu has already back tracked on there never beiing a Palestinian nation.
Again we see Sassy do exactly what my other article was talking about and I will highlight which ones she used here:
[*]Genocidal antisemitism: Calling for the destruction of Israel and the Jewish people.
[*]Political antisemitism: Denial of the Jewish people's right to self-determination, de-legitimization of Israel as a state, attributions to Israel of all the world's evils.
[*]Ideological antisemitism: "Nazifying" Israel by comparing Zionism and racism.
[*]Theological antisemitism: Convergence of Islamic antisemitism and Christian "replacement" theology, drawing on the classical hatred of Jews.
[*]Cultural antisemitism: The emergence of anti-Israel attitudes, sentiments, and discourse in "fashionable" salon intellectuals.
[*]Economic antisemitism: BDS movements and the extraterritorial application of restrictive covenants against countries trading with Israel.
[*]Holocaust denial
[*]Anti-Jewish racist terrorism
[*]International legal discrimination ("Denial to Israel of equality before the law in the international arena"): Differential and discriminatory treatment towards Israel in the international arena.
So she used point 2, 3, 5 and 9.

From previous thread:
The specific comments made by the ultra-nationalist politician, which drew condemnation on social media, were: "Those who are with us deserve everything, but those who are against us deserve to have their heads chopped off with an axe.”
Avraham Diskin, professor of political science at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, said that the comments amounted to incitement and were illegal because of their provocative nature, calling for criminal investigation into Lieberman’s behaviour.
“It’s against the law to call for violence and brutal executions in particular,” says Diskin. “He should be investigated, it is a criminal offence to say that, even with freedom of speech.”
“It is incitement and, had it been said earlier, I think there were grounds to disqualify him [from running in election] at least,” the professor added. “Anyone who calls for such activities, the law is very clear. The criminal law and the basic law of the Knesset are very clear.”
In other comments made at the election rally, Lieberman said that “there is no reason for Umm el-Fahm (an Arab-majority city) to be a part of Israel” and said those who raised a black flag on ‘Nakba Day’ (Day of Catastrophe) - in reference to the day following the creation of Israel in 1948 in which thousands of Palestinians were forced to flee their homes - should be sent to live in the Palestinian territories.
A number of former Israeli diplomats, including former Israeli ambassador to South Africa, Alon Liel, and former ambassador to France, Daniel Shek, publicly condemned Lieberman’s incendiary remarks.
"Israel's number-one diplomat is waving an axe over the heads of citizens of the country that he represents, and in the same breath, he preaches to the whole world about fighting antisemitism," the diplomats told The Jerusalem Post.

The Far left sure know how to incite more hate.
Still not answerd and still Stassi offers no evidence that Israel and ISIS are in anyway a comparrison.
Fails to admit many surrounding nations are actually closer to ISIS, making this whole article nothing short of idiotic which seeks to demonize and deligitimize Israel based off one man now who claimed peopale should be executed for treason, even though no such law has been proposed.
Seriously again sassy is using the smelly bandit tactic. This minister is a Jew, a Zionist and an Israeli, so what he says represents every Israeli according to Sassy. This idiotic Minsiter is no better than this article, boith coming out with hate.
It is drivel like the above that again seeks incite hate of the Jews, for crimes they did not commit and policies of some Israeli's
If you take that methodology Stassi, you then make every Muslim culpable for crimes they did not commiit.
See what I mean in reagrds to antisemitism. You try again to demonize and deligitimize Israel, then uise the words of two people, one of which has back tracked as evidence to a comparrison of ISIS?
I know your goal is for a one state soution with the Palestinians in control where then countless millioins would go from having near equality to countless inequalities. I am for a two state solution and why I wontinue to counter your antisemitism, because you are daily trying to instil hate, using poor lies, fabrications and here even worse hearsay, with utterly no comparrison to IS.
You just cannot grasp the difference netween genuine and honest criticism compared to the poor unsubstanciated claim, (a no brainer as they are nothing like ISIS) print it as fact and sow the seeds for further hate against Jews based off malicious lies to compare Israel to ISIS.
Seriously that is the worst irresponsibility journalism you will find that further fuels antisemitism.

Poor Defliection Quill as I do not hate the left.To claim a comparrison here to ISIS is just down right bollocks which has no justification which again is clearly and with intent attempting to dehumanize the people of Israel on a par with ISIS.
That is antisemitism, because this claim just has no validity and thus as seen if it has been invented, its intent is to inicte hate of Israel.

Yes the debate is me responding top her spam.. I would not mind her using evidence to back up her points as I do, but at least make some points, as it just ends up being rather dull.

I always found that putting someone on 'ignore' only delays your reading them for about ten minutes. Lol. Someone will quote them and you're back in action in no time.
