Al Aqsa incident: Israeli officer assaults 10 yr old Palestinian girl

A 10-year-old Palestinian girl on Sunday morning was physically assaulted by an Israeli occupation officer as she chanted “Allah the Greatest” at al-Aqsa plaza.

Media spokesperson for the Awqaf (Endowment) department said the Israeli policeman roughed up a young girl on her way to the holy Mosque before a member of the al-Aqsa supervision personnel, identified as Abdul Rahman Sherif, stepped in and asked him: “How do you dare push an innocent child?”

Even as Sherif helped the injured girl, other Israeli officers suddenly showed up to provide protection for the Israeli attacker--the latter kept abusing the girl-child.

“The Muslim sit-inners at congregation at the mosque stood on their guard to a horde of Israeli settlers who attempted to go upstairs to the Dome of the Rock and perform provocative rituals,” the official added.

At least 82 Israeli settlers, escorted by police squads, stormed Muslims’ holy al-Aqsa Mosque via al-Maghareba gate.
