Ofsted Report: Warning Over Secondary Schools
Education watchdog chief executive Sir Michael Wilshaw warns pupils at some secondary schools receive "indifferent" teaching.
State secondary school standards are at risk of stagnating with around 170,000 pupils now attending schools rated as inadequate, according to Ofsted's annual report.
The number of secondary schools deemed to be inadequate has risen over the past 12 months, with more than 50 extra schools in special measures now compared to a year ago.
But primary schools have improved over the past year, according to the report, which will be released today by Ofsted chief executive Sir Michael Wilshaw.
In around a third of local authority areas, fewer than 70% of state secondary schools are rated good or better.

I suppose the results of all the meddling and all the changes had to show up sooner rather than later.

It's bullshit, I say, BULLSHIT!
This is more product from the people who hate the public sector running for public office and ruining the public sector (through things like budget cuts) and then crowing to the citizenry how the public sector screws everything up. It's high time we began to call them on it.
It plagues the U.S. to this day and could very well doom us. No U.S. public-sector official should have had a Big-Oil company tanker named after her. http://www.sfgate.com/politics/article/Chevron-redubs-ship-named-for-Bush-aide-2922481.php

Yes, RW duplicity knows no limits. In the US, we have a Republican Congress that states it is their duty to do nothing...all in the name of minimal government. Most Republicans didn't even want to draft a budget and then engineered a shutdown of government in 2013. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_federal_government_shutdown_of_2013
Then, when streets are run down, highways are crumbling, education is in the pit, and police and fire are understaffed, they whine about how the Obama administration is doing a lousy job.
I think that Obama is probably one of the three best presidents ever, made all the greater because he has had to so adroitly negotiate all the obfuscation from the right-wing.
The RW lies and then lies to cover up. Duplicity!...it's their M.O. They come off like a squirrel jumping from one side of the fence to the other every other minute. Seems you guys have the same lazy, lying bastards on the right-wing of your politics.
