BEN BEN BEN!!!!!!!!

I've had brisket and Czech sausage for dinner.....and jalapeno cheese bread.......and pickles lots and lots of pickles........and chocolate cream pie ......and a soupcon of pecan ice cream......I plan n having the same for lunch tomorrow. but without the pie .......I'll have pecan instead.

6 different kinds of smoked sausage in the fridge to take home. on Sunday after taking grandpa to church I will pick up some uncooked brisket to take home and well stop at boudreaux's on Katy Freeway for lunch......crawfish and gulf shrimp and catfish.

life is very good. God I love Texas food.

Hmm can almost get my head round cheese and curry sauce (perhaps?) but cheese doesn't go with gravy......?

Each to there own I guess, I always dip my cauliflower cheese in gravy, is lush, rolled bacon filled with cheese as well.
Cheese just about goes with everything, I sometimes have Mozzarella or Pecorino grated cheese on a curry.

Pecorino cheese is the best to have on pasta.

no not these Eddie. the comma denotes different kinds.....my favourite was sausage and gravy - its a cream based gravy - its very common over here to have over fresh biscuits (buttered scones to you).

up in the Midwest where I was born on the family farm......ok really in hospital but it sounds better.....at country fairs you can get fried cheese curds with gravy. I know it sounds gross but its absolutely devine.

I know that, we have Pies with that exact filling (most Aussie pies are meat based they are a bit different pastry too)



We have something like kolaches , mash up between Asian and western baking
there is heaps of different ones but 'breadtop' is the dominate chain


all those fillings you said Plus things like Char Sui Pork, Crab & mayo, a lot of persevered stuff like '100 year egg', pickled radish (popular with Asians) and custard stuff. the bigger ones can have like 40-50 varieties

there are some dangerous stuff in the water but no more dangerous than rips and waves in general. Pools Are safe

I'm scared of going to the USA too much chance of getting shot

AN Australian visiting the USA has 58 times the chance of getting shot over there (by anyone in general..), compared to over here...

AND more than 150 times the chance of being shot by a cop in America, than  back at home..
(I wouldn't be at all surprised if armed cops have overtaken mooses as the #1 threat to tourists ?)


THE odds would be even greater for the Poms ~ as the Bobbies over there have to ride their bicycles back to the clink to sign out their guns..

it is literally safer to be swimming in the water with Sharks, Crocodiles, Blue ring octopus and box jelly fish than be a Black man on an American street.

BACK in the late 1990's, I came across figures that the average number of deaths in Oz due to "natural" causes such as animal attacks, lightning strikes, hail and the like had been around 27 per year...

THE stat's that veya listed above support this ~ as those 254 deaths/10 years average out at 25.4..      Add in a couple a year from lightning, hail and the likes, and that gives an yearly average that is likely still under 30 a year..

AND yet many people here still remain far more terrified of imaginary fears fermenting along in their imaginations, than they are of the leading causes of preventable death == such as poor nutrition, inactivity, tobacco, car "accidents";    and diseases such as cancers, asthma, and arthritic conditions..

EVEN falls, accidents on the job, and suicides and self-neglect are much higher than "nature" attacks.
