Clair Ridge

The BBC have reported on the Clair Ridge oil field today, the development team have called it a "monster oil field" expected to produce an estimated 8 billion barrels of oil, with an estimated 120,000 barrels per day production at peak levels. The sea around Scotland contains at least £1Trillion of energy wealth.

Does this put to bed the speculation and rumours surrounding the PM's recent visit to Shetland or not?

If Scotland say YES it will be very wealthy and we won't get any of it basically. If there is the slightest chance of the Tories having any power in the next government I'd still tell them to go for it.

I think Alex Salmond blew it in the last debate with the pound issue. All he really had to say was that there are a number of alternatives available in the event that a shared currency can't be agreed.

He could even have said we'll use this pound.

Wouldn't be good, especially now they have found that oil, which is why so much is being thrown behind the 'No' campaign.
