She is staunchly opposed to abortion rights and is a current co-sponsor of the proposed Sanctity of Human Rights Act, a proposal to grant “all the legal and constitutional attributes and privileges of personhood” to fetuses, from the time of fertilization.

that's is so stupid it is beyond belief someone with that little understanding should not be allowed to run for Gov't.
at time of Conception there is NO SUCH THING as a foetus End of story You say it You Don't know enough to Comment let alone suggest a law that will effect millions of people.

An EMBRYO becomes a foetus at around the 8 week mark and even them NOT A VIABLE LIFE FORM .....yet

Could someone stick the stupid cow's head down the loo and pull the chain. Women's worst enemies are women who think that being all soft and silly and talking about 'women's issues' instead of 'human issues' will please men and make them more 'feminine' and 'sweet'. Another long article but interesting on how the USA is now arresting mother 2 days after birth .. which is super fucked up when you consider even Sharia laws allow them to finish breastfeeding....

Sometimes Veya, you just want to slap the people in charge. Just been watching a programme about secret courts in Britain that are taking away peoples children and putting them up for adoption 'just in case some time in the future, they might not be looked after properly'. Not because the parent has done anything wrong, not because they have mistreated the child etc, snatching literally from their mother's and father's arms minutes after birth and they never see them again, and they are told they will be put in prison if they talk about it. A couple had their daughter in her thirties, die. She had a six month old son they wanted to adopt. They jumped through every hoop, did everything the social workers wanted and still the baby got taken away. It took them 2 years to get him back. Mothers who think social services are going to take their baby when it is born, run away and move to France or Ireland. There, if they are having difficulties because they are single mothers, social services support and help them. Here, they take the baby away. Friggin madness, then at the other end of the scale they take no notice when people report children being abused and the children die..

But seriously, American conservative women, I just can't figure them out, it's like they have Stockholm Syndrome or something. Not pointing this out for the benefit of Quill, who knows, but for the non Estadounidenses here -- it was a conservative women's movement that defeated an amendment to the U.S. constitution that would have made women explicitly, legally equal to men. Seriously. And Texas conservatives want to honor their leader in schoolbooks. Again, seriously.

It's true, the Equal Rights Amendment was cut down by a woman. But a woman who was seeking individual glory at the price of the interests of her gender. We see such tokenism now and then...take Herman Cain in the 2010 presidential primaries.

But the women are the salvation in the US in this (2014) election and in 2016. They hold over 50% of the votes and if they follow their own interests, they will vote Democrat. The State of Virginia requires implantation of trans-vaginal mesh if they want an abortion. How bad is that?
