we had rivers running last night - terrific storms - would've gone out but for the lightening.

We've had storms here in the last few days, I love watching them but not when they are right over head I still count the seconds between the lightening and the thunder to see how many miles away it is!

same here! I don't mind it but it sends the animals running bless them....we could see this one coming in....we unplugged everything and I called mum to tell her to do same and she was like it isn't near and then boom u big clap of thunder right over our houses!
sat out on the back porch watching till the wind started blowing. driving round town this morning you can see lots of piles of dirt sand and rocks where the water came gushing down the roads. the land is so dry and so hard that big amounts of water just roll off. we do have flash flooding here as well.
