Britney Spears leaked audio minus Auto-Tune: Warning, this will make your ears bleed

Top music producer William Orbit has defended a shockingly out of tune leaked recording of pop star Britney singing new single Alien

It was never meant to be shared with millions of listeners but it's too late now for Britney Spears.

An unedited recording of the pop star singing a new track called Alien has been leaked on to social media and all we can say is, ouch!!

Feel free to listen to it (click on the VT below) but be warned - there are some pretty cringe-worthy dud notes... that may make your ears bleed!



The track features Britney's vocals recorded without the use of Auto-Tune - a techno device used in music production which eases out an artist's pitch and tone.

Top producer William Orbit who worked with Britney on the recording has hit out at the onslaught of criticism and jokes about the singer's voice and insists that the recording was NOT intended for public consumption.

Orbit insists that the track is a "vocal warm up" and "not supposed to be shared with millions of listeners."

Alien features on the album Britney Jean, released in 2013.

In a statement, Orbit, who produced the track, defended the singer, claiming the blonde beauty was merely warming up.

"I'd like to affirm that ANY singer when first at the mic at the start of a long session can make a multitude of vocalisations in order to get warmed up,"he said.

"Warming up is essential if you’re a pro, as it is with a runner doing stretches, and it takes a while to do properly."

He further explained: "A generous singer will put something down the mic to help the engineer get their systems warmed up and at the right level, maybe whilst having a cup of herb tea and checking through lyrics before the session really kicks off."

Meanwhile, the Toxic singer has been super successful at her residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.

Britney is 18 months through a two-year run of her hit show 'Britney Spears: Piece of Me' at the glitzy Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
