Not me personally (you can't really count Ireland as abroad!), but my family's ad adventurous bunch. My cousin Tony was with the British Embassy in Damascus many years back - glad it's not now... and my other cousin lived in Hong Kong for quite a while - sounded like a glamorous place to live.

Never been to Ireland Tesstacious.
I really wanted to go to Hong Kong - was very upset when it went - would've loved to have been posted there with the army.
Have lived in a lot of the European countries though, and Scandinavia and the Middle East.
Would love to spend some time in China and Japan - maybe one day.

Not me -although a brother in Canada and a brother in Bahamas, cousins in Australia and New Zealand, can't do any better than that I'm afraid.

I would but I've gone off flying I'm afraid. All those crowds at aiports, and on the planes breathing air some one else has already breathed, bacteria and viruses everywhere, who knows what people are exhaling all over you!

Re: Who Has Actually Travelled Here?
God your English is terrible it confused me as I was wondering "Where?"
It should have read, "Who here, has travelled?"
Anyway lecture over, I lived in the Maldives for six months and Greece for about two.

Greece - bumming around living off the land
Maldives - the in-house band
Loved Greece, really like the food and the landscape.
Maldives, overrated. I was on the island that eventually ended up getting washed away in the tsunami on Boxing Day.
If you stood at the end of the island (which was a mile long by a half mile wide) it reached a point and the waves came in from both sides.
The Maldivians treated the bangledesh workforce like shit, and were not very nice people tbh.
And the food was crap. Reef fish every night and seasoned boar, but they made beautiful sweet rolls.
They loved our music though and treated us like royalty at first.

I'd love the type of job that would send me to all corners of the globe -- something like world affairs reporter, National Geographic photographer, or international man of mystery
Sadly, no, I've never lived abroad. I love travel though, I tell everyone I know, I don't care if you're going to France or Mongolia, I want to come along ...

I have never been able to abide seafood of most any kind (though I do like sushi) but I had some Mediterranean food in Colorado (of all places) and quite enjoyed it myself. It was funny, we were acting like it was this new thing, which it was to us, but objectively it's some of the oldest cousine in the world
Re: Who Has Actually Travelled Here?
Haha, tbf to Sass she has travelled a lot more than most, I remember her saying she lived in Singapore a while and Tunisia I think
For my part I lived in Thailand 6 months a year and a half ago, purely for leisure, visiting China and Cambodia while there

Re: Who Has Actually Travelled Here?
Ah, ok, sorry, I misread your post 'it is tommy yes', as being 'is that you tommy' for some reason.....
So you're from jersey eh?
From what I remember of it, it was pretty much like a lot of places in England, high streets and shops etc, and I remember spending a lot of time in some amusement park place at the top of a hill somewhere....
Does that sound familiar?
I was only about 12 or so I think when I was there.
