Jimmy Savile abuse reports reach 500...

There have been at least 500 reports of abuse by ex-BBC presenter Jimmy Savile, NSPCC research for Panorama has found.

Most of the alleged victims were between the ages of 13 and 15, but the youngest was two.

Meanwhile, leaked memos reveal the extent of Savile's influence at Broadmoor psychiatric hospital, where he was appointed to lead a task force to reform the hospital.

Panorama has been told about 16 reports of abuse at the hospital.

The Department of Health and the BBC are due to publish reports into Savile later this year.

Children's charity the NSPCC said its helpline had received 50 more reports of abuse by Savile since its joint report with the Metropolitan Police was published in January 2013.

These included reports from victims themselves, people who knew victims of abuse and people reporting information which was considered useful to the ongoing investigations.

The earliest incident dated back to the mid-1940s, with the most recent in 2007.



His youngest victim only a wee nipper of two year old, sickening.

It is sad, he has ruined so many lives and went unpunished.

I'm only reporting what the news organisations are Andy, and with this amount of evidence given by so many hundreds of victims, I don't doubt it, not with this many witnesses.

..you should maybe ask the hundreds of victims Andy ...the police have that info, and they , along with the NSPCC said Savile was a ' predator' and ' monster' when it came to children.

This was AFTER weighing up the witness statements, placing him at certain places at certain times...

Have you any evidence that he wasn't a child molester?, because the evidence gathered says he was..and had he still been alive and tried today, he would without a doubt be locked up...since all this evidence has been gathered...
He thought he was untouchable because of his status ...
And his victims..mostly little girls were terrified of him and thought they would never be believed because of who he was.

Now if the police and children's organisations have confirmed he was a sexual predator of children and infants, ...AFTER their findings...

He was even such a monster he molested dying children Andy.

Then it's a no brainer Andy.


You should contact the police and the child organisations Andy, they can set you right with the evidence/multiple witness statements etc.

That's want I thought LD..and that's exactly want I told Andy when he asked me about evidence....

I told him he should contact the Police and the children's organisations.

...well it certainly is a big deal to the Police and other relevant authorities Andy, and there is definitely nothing amazing about Jimmy Savile.

Fair enough but I think if it turns out Rolf and a few of the others are guilty... a least a few are probably legit      

Veya - did you follow the Savile scandal in Britain last year?

Only vaguely, we are getting a bit more coverage about Rolf.

Must admit I had never heard of this Savile guy before the allegations
