Migrant issue, again.

Migrant issue, again.
Good afternoon folks, ‘tis little old me back again. Hope you’re all enjoying the sunshine.
I was sitting in the garden ruminating on some of our discussions, especially about racism and migrants, when something came to mind that Didge said. He and I have had some good discussions and, although not always agreeing with each other, we’ve got on ok. But, Didge, I have to take you to task over something you said which needs to be addressed and put into perspective.
Some of us in the discussions agreed that migrations into Britain are getting out of hand, and there are now too many of them You mentioned the migrations in the past, but Didge old mate, in those days it was a completely different world. During those migrations and invasions by the Romans, Normans, Saxons, and Danes, and etc, the population of this country was, by today’s standards, miniscule. There were leather workers, potters, metal smiths and blacksmiths, farrriers, and farm workers. It was a very rural-like situation, not the high-powered, industrialized, technological, and financially geared society of today. They are/were two completely different worlds. The population numbers of the country in 1,000 AD is estimated at two million, five hundred thousand, which would barely fill a modern day London.
So, Didge, you need to rethink on the issue of past migrations. As said, today’s world would be alien to those of a 1,000 or more years ago, as it would be to us if we were transported back in time. Therefore I think you're wrong to compare past migrations to those of today. Sorry mate.

Re: Migrant issue, again.
Nothing to rethink about Stardesk, this would have seen far more a mass invasion because of the smaller population. You are also going off a view that you yourself have experienced to what it was like for small communities to suddenly be faced with 10,000 armed warriors. The point is such claims are made off the back this country has not faced such volumes of people coming to these shores from the past, well to small isolated sparse communities it would have done Stardesk.
The reality is which nobody ever has an answer to is that of America, it did not start well, but later had mass immigration that makes the UK look small in comparison, where they also had many at the time come out with the same views and arguments being stated today and yet today America is one big multicultural nation. What nobody seems to be able to answer is what is it they fear, based off immigration coming to these shores, an identity which nobody seems to able to actually identify.
Sorry mate, my views are historically spot on

Two questions for you didge:
So you are for mass, uncontrolled immigration? The sort we have now?
Are you saying the majority of England is wrong to worry about what is going on and has gone on over the past 15 years?

Re: Migrant issue, again.
No I am for controlled immigration.
I am saying some of the fears perpetuated are woefully poor based upon associated fear views some have of people. You do this daily, a person commits a crime, fear all foreigners, that is a poor view, as seen Nigel plays off this, with Romanians, which has been rightly condemned.
If people can get along in the majority, what is stopping others from doing the same?
Nothing, as seen a society like America has thrived on being a multicultural nation. We need controls here due to infrastructure, but not to stop immigration or as being used by UKIP based upon fear of immigrants themselves

You have the same ideas as UKIP for immigration to England then - that's good.
And you do not have the same idea as the Conservative Party for immigration to England.
I suggest you vote differently.

No they have different views to me Andy, they as seen have fear views about immigrants themselves, I do not group together people as justifying fear off where they come from, as seen UKIP do.
I do have the same idea as the Tories, they wish to control immigration, I suggest you stop talking bollocks, it may help
