As immigrants have contributed a net £ 25 billion to the public purse since 2000 ,with folk from EE countries most likely to make a positive contribution, paying around 34% more in taxes than they received on benefits over ten years from 2001-2011, according to findings from University College London's migration research unit.

Other immigrants paid around 2%more than they received..
