David Cameron closes Parliament and gives MPs 19-DAY break because Government has run out of ideas
The House of Commons was not due to rise until May 22, which would have meant 12 days off before members return for the Queen’s State opening on June 4
David Cameron is closing Parliament and giving MPs a 19-day break – because his Government has run out of ideas.
MPs will pack their bags on Thursday less than a month after having a two-week Easter holiday, reports the Sunday People.
The House of Commons was not due to rise until May 22, which would have meant 12 days off before members return for the Queen’s State opening on Wednesday June 4.
But they’re shutting up shop a week early because the PM can’t find any more laws to pass.
The Opposition claim the move is out of order and say Parliament should not just sit at the whim of government.
Labour MP John Mann said: “The Coalition has run out of steam.
“It doesn’t have any legislation to put through – and doesn’t want more scrutiny of what it’s doing than necessary.”
And Taxpayers’ Alliance chief Jonathan Isaby said: “Holding government to account is a vital part of an MP’s work and whenever the Commons is not sitting ministers can get away without being scrutinised.”
He added that if ministers have time on their hands they should set it aside for longer Parliamentary debates.

Very true. Let's shut the place before anyone notices what's going on and asks us about it. Smithy's UC s in the shit. Gove's lost it completely and this takeover business is getting a bit too close to home. Just punt out that we're after Take That for millions and lock up.

From the sycophant of the party that only has ideas from the 60s and 70s. Class warrior with no new policies. The coalition has reached the end of the line sure enough but if you are dumb enough to pretend the opposition have credible list of policies you really do believe your own tripe.
We are well overdue a right wing agenda that I will accept.
How's that we should be going for plan B on the economy working out for you comrade???

I hope he is contemplating a GE.
The coalition is dead.
Nothing planned will now pass the HOC is a dead duck.
