Police were called to a Dagenham Support Unit on April 15 after a drugs outreach worker was branded with the racist word twice and told to “f*** off”.

Robert Lee Bibby, 43, of Holgate Gardens, Dagenham, pleaded guilty to using racially abusive language and causing Jonathan Marson distress and alarm.

Claire Hebdon, prosecuting, explained Bibby had been banned from the venue but attended anyway.

She said: “He was told to leave and became angry and started shouting and swearing at the unit’s manager, Jonathan.

“The defendant made admissions and apologised. He knew he was banned and admitted saying the “n-word” twice.”

“He started talking about how much he hated black people,” Sonia said.

“We were living in Maesteg (South Wales) and he said he had heard there was a man there who was a member of the Ku Klux Klan.”

Davies asked whether Sonia or Rebecca knew him.

“He wanted to join him,” Sonia said. “He told us, ‘I want to meet him, I want to go out and get blacks.’

“He was using the ‘N-word’ and me and Becca were just looking at him.

“Davies was saying we should shoot them and hang them from the next tree. Becca was horrified and said, ‘Josh don’t talk like that, what do you mean? We would never do anything like that.’”

A 23-YEAR-OLD man racially abused a bouncer and spat at him after being refused entry to a Runcorn bar, a court heard.

Lee Jackson Dylan Fisher, of Old Coach Road, Runcorn, pleaded guilty to assault and racially aggravated harassment at Halton Magistrates Court on Thursday.

It heard how Fisher reacted angrily after being told he could not go into Chambers Bar on March 23 as it was after 2am, and any entry after this time would breach licence conditions.

Alison Warburton, prosecuting, said the defendant, who was with his partner, became abusive towards doorman Damian Lewis and called him a racial slur.

Fisher, who was drunk, was restrained by Mr Lewis and spat on his arm, the court heard.

He also lashed out with hands and feet but did not manage to injure the bouncer.

Mrs Warburton said during the police interview Fisher said the doormen at Chambers had been making 'unpleasant' remarks about him and his partner.

He said he did not estimate the impact of using the 'n word', or realise it was illegal, and that blows were landed in an attempt to free himself.

Fisher, who has good GCSE and A-level qualifications, admitted anyone who heard the racial abuse would find it offensive.
