Man Jailed For Pouring Hot Sauce On Puppy
A Florida man has been jailed for one year after he doused his girlfriend's puppy with hot sauce.
Ephrian Myles, 47, was also ordered to serve 18 months probation and complete an anger management course.
Myles poured hot sauce on the three-month-old dachshund-chihuahua mix named Gizmo after he became annoyed by the animal, police said.
Authorities said the spicy condiment got into the dog's eyes and throat.
Firefighters managed to wash off the hot sauce and the puppy was treated by a vet.
Myles pleaded no contest to charges of animal cruelty and was sentenced to serve one year in a county jail.
Circuit Judge Donna Berlin also banned Myles from owning a pet or living in a house where there are animals.
Assistant State Attorney Dan Yuter told the Sarasota Herald Tribune: "I'm just glad the dog was OK and the guy went to jail."

At least he went to jail, I wonder what kind of punishment he'd have received here? A fine perhaps, a ban on keeping animals for a couple of years?

I cannot help but notice that this is, once again, another act of cruelty occurring in Florida. Another southerner.
These people are simply incapable of feelings.

A bit RACIST.
Thank god you don't live in England - you'd be flipped with all this European stuff going on.
Only like your own sort do you?

It has nothing to do with racism. This is an issue of regionalism. As far as race, these people are mostly Scots. I am a Scot. Point made.
But in response to your implied question, yes I do believe these people acquire their cruel insensitivity through their insipid racism. They are so used to treating African Americas in this way, that they eventually become the animals themselves. Just look at the cases of Trayvon Martin and Jordan Davis.

“Compassion for animals is intimately associated with goodness of character, and it may be confidently asserted that he who is cruel to animals cannot be a good man.”
I read this Schopenhaur quote somewhere here. I doubt you have the depth to grasp such things, Stephen. But if you ever enter a university, look in the legend for "Anthropology."
The cultural character of the American south has nothing to do with any Smelly thesis. But, as I say, you can only see simple things.

Good evening Nems.
I'm sorry but I just couldn't resist it.You know what it's like.....those voices whispering over my shoulder,'Go Shady...say it....say it.....you know you want to.'
And I said it & I honestly thought there would have been yards of rebukes.
Honestly, the guy who hurt the pup needs to spend a few minutes with me for a fun experience.
