Cast announced for Star Wars: Episode VII
We have endured months of rumours, speculation and wild guesswork about the likely faces in our forthcoming return to a galaxy far, far away. Well, the official casting press release of Star Wars: Episode VII has arrived at last, and with it the names of the principal cast - albeit with no character details as yet. Here it is in full for you below.
"The Star Wars team is thrilled to announce the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII.
"Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson and Max von Sydow will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker in the new film.
"Director J.J. Abrams says, 'We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud.'

Exciting stuff!
I can remember being taken to see the original film at the cinema as a young kid, so having the original cast getting back together is a real treat!
It's being shot at Pinewood studios in England as well!

I'm afraid to see this. One of the best things I did for myself was to not attend the Star Wars prequels when the hype was high. I think that's why I don't hate them as much as a lot of older fans.
